I can only tell you that the box does not mention that it is acid free.
To get the top edge of the label, measure from the bottom edge of the file folder to the edge of the top edge of the label itself. That should be of some help. The folders are of very high quality and very strong. My habit is to reuse them over and over again.

It was disappointing to find these Pendaflex folders, the cardboard was very thin and the finish was not as nice as it might have been. Though I am sure I will find some use for them, I immediately checked my previous orders and ordered some more Smead straight-cuts. I would recommend cut folders over punched ones. The straight cut folders are also great for organizing if you have a lot of writing to do on the tab or want to add.
They've been my favorite folders for decades, and I still buy them. However, they appear to be getting thinner over the last few I still find the box to be good quality. All of the folders are able to be used. (Unlike another brand I tried where about 20% of the 100 folders were damaged. The back is missing, part of the tab is missing, the rubbed holes are there but the back is In other words, there is no quality control My folders I bought in a brick-and-mortar store, however. As far as file folders are concerned, I had no idea what to say. I was of the opinion that they were good file folders for the money. This would account for "durability" and "value for money. The reorder, on the other hand, was simply horrendous. Almost as thin as a piece of paper, the folder feels extremely flimsy. A smooth material with a porous feel is used to make the folder. (I have Amazon Prime. ) I will return it if it is worth the money. Without it, this brand new box of folders is destined for the recycling bin.

Pendaflex has disappointed me because I expected more from them. They are, however, very flexible, and can bend and flex. I found it to be very undurable. I don't think they would hold up very well.
You did an excellent job with these! I appreciate the fact that the tab stretches all the way across the product. As a result, I have no problem with the three tabs since I feel like I have to use them in order to organize my drawers nicely. You can avoid this if you use these.
