I can't believe finding a good lap desk these days is so difficult. It was never a problem until about four years ago, and now NOTHING compares to the cheapest pre-owned ones. This one had a lot of potential, but there were a few things that were off. Microbead pillows are one of my favorite things in the world. At the very least, this has ONE pad rather than two separate pads that are too far apart to fit on my knees. However, because this model is heavy, my mouse's surface was damaged after only two months, and I had to resort to using my touchpad instead. The cushion is too short due to its weight, so I had to ADD the removable microbead cushion from my old one to make it the right height. The wristpad is a dreadful design. Instead of going the full width of the desk, it STOPS just far enough that if you use a mouse, your wrist is OFF it (but there isn't enough room to add a supplemental mousepad at the edge). ) The wrist rest is also too far away from the desk's edge, taking up valuable space and putting you further away from the screen and keyboard. made, but because of all of these factors, especially the fact that it's so short and you can't tilt it to your liking like you can with microbeads- Bottomed desks made my last few months with it extremely inconvenient. TODAY, I THINK I FOUND A SUBSTANTIALLY BETTER BRAND; We'll have to wait and see how things turn out. This was the best of the many I tried for me, but it was still nowhere near as good as ALL the simple, reliable well-known brands. For the past 20 years, I've been using ones that I've made.

The one with the USB port vs. the one with the ethernet port 1) I prefer the All Purpose Desk to the All Purpose Lapdesk. It has a larger working surface area and distributes your weight more evenly between your legs. It also has a lower resolution than the USB version, which I prefer. In addition, there is less of a slanted surface. There is no USB lamp included. br>2) The USB one is about two-thirds the size of the All-Purpose Desk and has a much steeper incline. It's heavier, and it feels heavier on my legs. The USB light is a nice feature to have, but I never use it because the light does not shine brightly enough or disperse the light evenly enough to be useful. Instead, I always use my overhead or table lamps. br>3) While both wrist pads have the same height and gel, the All Purpose version is significantly longer than the USB version, which is beneficial for those who work on a computer all day or suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome. My husband and I stack the USB version on top of the All Purpose version in bed at night for optimal laptop viewing height. With the addition of a sound bar, you'll be in for a relaxing evening. The Sound Bar from Elegiant is my favorite.

- Size/Area of the Surface: It has plenty of room for my 17-inch Toshiba laptop. I also like how I can draw and write on it, as well as use it for adult coloring books and crossword puzzles, among other things.

- Base Material: Memory Foam It's more comfortable on my lap and lasts longer than other "fillers. " In the past, I've had lapdesks with the base filled with those tiny Styrofoam beads/balls. If you've ever had something filled with that and the stitching has come undone or you've ripped it, those tiny balls make a big mess! I like that it's made of memory foam.

- Appealing to the eye: I went with "Black" because it's a color that goes with everything in my house, and I like how the top surface has a metallic/glittery sparkle to it, but it's subtle (which I like) and only visible up close.

- Padding on the wrist: I really like the padded wrist rest because it not only feels good on my wrists, but it also acts as a stopper for my laptop from sliding all the way down.

- Adaptability: It has a nice fabric carrying handle on the top side, and I can store it on its end without it taking up too much room. br>I usually keep it next to my couch, either between the end table and the couch or between the end table and the wall. br>br>Other lapdesks I looked at included a small USB light, a pull-out tray, cupholders, and a tablet slot. But I can't help but think about how easily those extras could be broken. So, in the end, I chose this simple, but fantastic lapdesk! This stylish, large-surface lapdesk comes highly recommended from me! I'm extremely happy with my purchase and decision! It's a five-star experience from start to finish!.

Despite not knowing much about the brand, I took a chance on this one, and it turned out to be AMAZING. It's strange how enthusiastic I can be about a lap desk, but this one has everything I could want. It is extremely relaxing. The armrest is a little stiff, but it provides excellent support and is large enough to accommodate my 17" Alienware computer. Most importantly, it maintains the temperature of my laptop. My mother and girlfriend both requested one as soon as I received it in the mail.

I've owned a lot of lap desks over the years, and this one outperforms them all. It's light, has a smooth drawing surface, and the cushion is large and full across the back - Unlike some, there aren't two rows of low-cost foam. It has a cloth handle rather than a hole carved out of one end, which I prefer. The grandchildren invent a way to turn the big clunky plastic lapdesks with the hand holes into nunchucks. It's slim, not bulky, and it'd be difficult to injure oneself or others with this desk by accident.
