Questions & Answers

Will this work if it's placed on a couch or chair and kept balanced?

For this, the legs are located between the cushions on my couch: (However, I simply fold down the legs.) It's perfect for the bed, but you can also use it to sit and stand on top of a table or desk.

Is the table's surface made of plastic or wood, and if so, what kind of material is it?

Plastic (silicone) with a wood-like appearance.

Is it suitable for writing as well as drawing?

It's suitable for both writing and drawing.

Is it possible to draw with this?

Yes, it's essentially a mini-movie. This is a portable table that can be used anywhere. It comes highly recommended from me! Personally, I use it to store my laptop and heavy textbooks so that I don't have to read them on my lap. A sketchbook or whatever drawing surface you use could be placed in the placeholder that keeps your laptop from sliding off.

Selected User Reviews For Laptop Bed Tray Table, Nearpow Adjustable Laptop Bed Stand, Portable Standing Table with Foldable Legs, Foldable Lap Tablet Table for Sofa Couch Floor - Medium Size

Buy the larger size because you'll love it! This table is ideal for my needs! Because I am a woman with a large hip/thigh area, I am hesitant to purchase any of these lap trays
5/5

I was concerned that they would not be able to fit around me. However, I've discovered that this gives me just the right amount of wiggle room beneath the table. I can sit in a relaxed Indian style pose quite comfortably. For the most part, I use this table in my wide recliner, but I also use it in my bed on occasion. That black/gray color was exactly what I was looking for. It's a warm gray with a sliver of a reddish undertone that my boyfriend can't see. Some reviewers say the table is a bit too high for them even on the lowest setting, which concerned me. br>br>Some reviewers say the table is a bit too high for them even on the lowest setting, which worried me. br>br> However, I think the table's height settings are ideal; I use it while watching television (my television is set to a 3. 0). I bought a 5ft stand (which is higher than most entertainment centers) so that I can work on my computer while comfortably viewing the television without having to twist my neck around my computer screen. br>br>The larger desk is ideal for my 15" MacBook Pro and allows for a full-size mouse pad to be placed next to it. I was concerned that resting my wrist on the mouse stopper ledge would be painful, but this is not the case because the stopper is a soft silicon that collapses under the weight of your wrist; in fact, I can't tell it's there when I'm working because it keeps my mouse from sliding off. When I got it, it was attached to my lap desk, and I'm afraid of ripping it off to see if it's detachable. The ledge on which the laptop is resting is detachable and is only held in place by tension. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend putting it on and off all the time because it will loosen the holes in the mdf board over time. I was concerned that it would be in the way, but it's perfectly positioned in the center, so my wrists don't come into contact with it while typing. br>br>I don't use it on any kind of table because I'm afraid it'll get bumped and tip over with my heavy MacBook Pro on it, and I'm not willing to take that chance! I believe its stability is largely subjective, based on what you're sitting on it and how evenly the weight is distributed, as well as other common sense considerations. I agree with others who say it slides too much to be used on a table, but this is easily fixed with gripping, rubberized furniture feet, which you can find here on Amazon. Peel and stick after cutting to size. To me, the solution appears to be simple enough. br>br>I'm not sure how durable the legs are yet because I've only had it for a week. So far, I haven't had any problems with them, but I do take great care with my belongings. They appear to be fairly light, but not so light that they cannot support my computer as well as the weight of my arms while typing. They are held open by tension, and if you move the leg too far to the left or right, the leg may close. Some people claim that my table is wobbly, but it isn't. I was also concerned about something else. When I'm typing, I find it to be very stable. br>br>Overall, I'm not sure why anyone would dislike this table. I would definitely purchase this desk again if it were to break. Without it, I'm not sure how I'd be able to use my laptop! It's wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. It comes highly recommended! The desk can be seen on the couch around me in the photos.

Nearpow has created a sturdy and solid laptop bed stand
5/5

I was looking for a study laptop stand to use in bed so that I could watch videos at a comfortable viewing angle and occasionally finish some work. Due to its flexible design, I decided to purchase this Nearpow Laptop Bed Tray Table after doing some research on Amazon. The laptop stand, a stopper, and a user manual are all included in the box. All I have to do now is place the stopper on top of the laptop table. The laptop stand is folded with padding to protect the corners, ensuring that no damage or scratches occur.
PRO:
- Large surface area for serving. It has a value of 20. 5"x11. It's 8" wide, which is plenty for my 14" laptop. I can fit a mouse and some extra accessories on the side, and the maximum laptop size is advertised as being up to 17".
- Height and angle can both be adjusted. The table's height can be adjusted between 9" and 12," and it can tilt flat or 15, 30, or 45 degrees downward. The height and angle can be locked and unlocked using two clips on the side.
- It is simple to keep. When the legs are folded, it is very compact. It's only a little over 2" thick, so I can easily store it under my bed.
- Light- weight. I can lift it with one arm and carry it from room to room because it weighs only 3 pounds.
- Solid and dependable. This is critical because I already own a similar-priced laptop bed stand that is extremely flimsy. This Nearpow Laptop Bed Tray Table can stand firmly on the bed while holding a laptop and a drink. The legs appear to be quite sturdy, so I'm confident that this will last for a long time. br>Overall, I really like this laptop bed stand and would recommend it to anyone who wants to work on their laptop in bed.

However, holding the book is extremely painful for her due to arthritis in her fingers
5/5

My wife enjoys reading in bed, but her arthritis in her fingers makes holding the book very difficult. I conduct thorough market research - Devices ranging in price from $90 to $3000 were discovered. She loves it and has already figured out how to put it to use in other ways. It looks great on her recliner, bed, and other furniture; she's pleased, and I'm pleased! br>Bill the librarian (57 years married).

Make sure you don't throw your money away
3/5

The first one I ordered (in July 2018) was defective and refused to lock into place. br>The company representative was extremely pleasant and promptly dispatched a replacement. br>I had a lot of fun using it with my laptop while working on the couch. br>Fast forward to today (November 6, 2018), and the same flaw is still present. When you adjust the table to a specific position, the white latches on either side of the table should lock. br>Like the first one I ordered, I now have to keep lifting the table to keep my laptop from sliding off. br>It's too late to return it a second time. br>This table is not recommended. br>The company should conduct a product safety test on the white latches to determine why they do not lock.

Problems with a 17-inch laptop
4/5

This was purchased for my girlfriend as a present. She was in desperate need of this table because she is taking online classes and playing online games. I bought the large beige bed table for her because she has a 17-inch laptop, and she absolutely loves it! Because there is no room for her mouse, I gave it a four-star rating. There's enough space for her to use it, but there's nothing to keep it from falling off the table when it's tilted. I watched the videos that are available for viewing prior to purchasing, and it appears that this product was designed with only 15" laptop users in mind, which is unfortunate. To accommodate larger laptops, there should be more holes to insert a mouse stopper to the far right (or left for lefties). I used pictures to demonstrate my point. I even took a picture with my 15-inch laptop to demonstrate that they were clearly targeting 15-inch and smaller devices, but it's a simple fix. Yes, her mouse is visible in one of the photos, but the table has not yet been tilted. Please add more holes so that a stopper can be inserted. Aside from that, it's a fantastic laptop stand.
