Your use of them will determine whether they are useful. On an 8x10 piece of paper, they could go behind a photo. As well as becoming the back of a 5x7 photo mat, they can also be behind a 4x6 mat.
These mat boards came packaged in plastic, and they have not been used for a year as they were for an event that was canceled in May of 2020, so I am not sure what temperature isolation is. It appears they are ideal for a photography contest for which they were purchased. Next time we are able to have an event, we will use them.

These foam core boards are rigid but light, so I mount paper to them with artist tape to keep the paper flat and secure while I paint with watercolor, soft pastels, graphite, etc. They are durable yet lightweight and can be used time and time again. The protection they provide is also useful when shipping and finishing artwork.
This foam board looks like it was made like a pro. I was cutting my own foam boards, and it was a little cheaper to buy bigger ones and cut them to size, but the edges were always ragged. I can do this so much easier and with less hassle. The quality is well worth the price, I'll definitely continue to buy them.

They are good for their price, but not all are at the same thickness and there are some that are off white. The cutting is inconsistent as well.
Presentations can be improved by using these.
It was well packed and well No damage has been done. Craft projects can be done with them as they are thick enough to hold toothpicks.
