Questions & Answers
Is it possible to keep it dry? It's made out of paper and foam. No. It is not waterproof in the least.
It is nothing more than foam core.
No, I do not believe that is true. There's no mention of it in the description or on the boards' tag. I wasn't looking for that detail because it didn't matter to my project. If they were acid-resistant, I'd think they'd be able to handle it. It would clearly state that it is free because this is a key selling point.
I've never tried them in that capacity, but I imagine they'd work if the models were light (paper mache or 3D printed?). ) if the model was properly secured with glue or other means of support.

It's suitable for everyday use, "practice," or use by children. The mats are well-cut and uniform in size, and the paper is securely adhered to the center core. The only drawback (which isn't really one) is that it's a little pricey. more of a "remember to take note of this" - because it's stated explicitly in the product description) is that it's not as thick as the more costly foam core - That was understandable. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
These foam core boards are perfect for taping pastel paper to while working on a project, and they easily clip to a drawing board on my easel. They're light but strong, and they prevent the paper from drying out. After I'm done, I remove the tape and store my work on the same foam core that I used as a backer board for shipping. I used to have to cut down large sheets, but these are already cut. Cut to 11 x 14 inches; 9 x 12 paper works well. I would recommend them because they are very convenient.
Even before you use them for anything, they're quite attractive. They only need to be kept under a board for a couple days when I cover them on both sides with papers and use two kinds of glue. They don't bend as the glue dries. That was exactly what I was looking for, and I'm completely satisfied.
They're both about an eighth of an inch short. It is, after all, just foam board. However, if you were hoping for an 8"x10" print, you will be disappointed. In both dimensions, they are about an eighth of an inch short. This style of backing board is how I package my original art prints because there is overhang in the package with an 8" by 10" print, and the prints will be damaged. It's not a big deal, but either cut them down to size or advertise the ACTUAL size.
I didn't want to have to cut larger pieces of foam core, so it was well packaged and exactly the size I needed. Also, I was looking for a thinner, rather than thicker, mat board that would fit well in most picture frames to add support to prints or serve as a backing for unframed art on paper in clear sleeves. Exceptional value. br>.
These were fantastic as part of a vision board party I hosted. It should be neither too big nor too small. I also use them to hang pictures on the wall as a standout because they are light weight and easy to install.
This is the second time I've ordered and I've received damaged corners yet again. What a hassle!.
