Questions & Answers
They are steadfast.
This is a smooth, matt black paper that is applied to the foam.
The boards were used to mount 8x10 photos and have black edges. I'm not sure if it's black from top to bottom. In the past, I've attempted to cut white foam board with an X-acto knife and found it difficult. Acto knife, but you might be able to handle it better than I did. Cutting through the three layers (backing papers) was a challenge for me. Without shredding the edges a little, remove the foam layer.
This could be used as a backboard behind the artwork, but because of its thickness, I wouldn't use it as a framing mat. If you have a large frame, you can always cut it down and see how it looks.

Well, when I first ordered this product, I assumed it was a canvas material that I could use for my painting project. I was disappointed at first, but once I started drawing on it and used a pencil to make more indentions to bring the image out, I fell in love with it. This is my second order, and I will continue to purchase this product in the future. Take a look at my painting.
Because the boards were shipped in a fitted box with no packaging, each board's corners were crushed. I tried to trim the crushed edges with a straight edge and a razor blade, but the foam inside didn't seem dense enough and came out in chunks when I cut it, making the situation even worse. These were supposed to be used for photo collages at my father's memorial service and funeral. I spent the evening before the viewing trying in vain to make these work, and the morning of the viewing having Office Max reprint my collages and mount them to their foam core. There's been a lot of money and time wasted.
This was purchased in order to create a custom insert for a board game. It cuts cleanly and is sturdy, but it's still flexible enough to bend into shape when needed. br>br>I was concerned that it would arrive damaged or creased, but the packaging was excellent. I would definitely order from them again.
I bought this for my son's science fair project, and I was thrilled to discover that the black color runs all the way through the foam board rather than just on the surface layer. The edges of the foam board remained black all around, even after we cut it. It was simple to cut, put together with other components, and shape as needed.
It's a lovely foam board, and I used it to mount photographs without a frame or glass for a low-cost display. The photo is glued to the foam board with spray adhesive, and I used a hot glue gun to adhere it. I glued some alligator-like things to the wall. tooth hangers are attached to the back of the teeth. There are no white cores in the foam board or the backing paper, which is a nice black. If and when I need more, I'll definitely get some more; it's perfect for what I need.
I used these to create a contemporary television backsplash. It hides the unsightly wall mount and hides the holes in the wall, while also providing the dark backdrop required to make my 4K hdr image stand out. I mounted them with hot glue, which has caused some issues, but I could easily avoid that by using a stronger bonding agent. I keep a box of these on hand for other miscellaneous items, and I've even used them to hide the wires and printer on the back of my desk. In this case, double-sided tape is ideal. br>br>They're well-made, thick, and cut evenly. They're adaptable and have a good price.
These are extremely thin boards. We attempted to use them for a pen-strong art project, but the pins wouldn't stay in because they were too thin. a weak point Erasing pencil sketches was difficult with the shiny costing. In the end, we were able to make it work. However, a thicker, more durable board would be preferable.
The added benefit is that I can sign and name my work on the back, where no one will be able to see it once it is hung on the wall.
