That isn't the case.
That is not the case for me. It was well-made and durable.
I'm not sure how well paint will adhere to them. Other ideas include gluing a piece of colored material, paper, or felt on top of it.

THE FOAM BACKBOARD WAS NOT IN A BOX AT ALL. IN THE SECOND PHOTO, YOU CAN SEE A THIN PIECE OF CARDBOARD SHRINKWRAPPED IN EACH CORNER. THE PRODUCT WAS DAMAGED WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED. IT WAS ALSO EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE IN MY OPINION. DISAPPOINTED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT.
These are fantastic mat boards! I bought them twice to use as photo mounts on an old wooden frame for a french door. The mats are packaged in a special box designed just for them. Plastic cling wrap is used to wrap the mats inside the box. Because the boards are thick, they maintain their shape and do not bend. I used a utility knife and a metal T-shaped cutter to cut them out. square. I glued them to the wooden frame with craft glue. I would purchase them again because they were ideal for this project.
It's all in the heading. One of the ten boards is warped, rendering it completely useless. Otherwise, the product is fine; the 3/16ths thickness is thinner than usual, but the board is easy to cut and suitable for my needs. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> After I posted this review, the seller reached out to apologize, but I didn't think it was worth the hassle.
The foam boards would not have been damaged if the UPS truck had run over this package. Maybe I went a little too far, but you get the idea. The boards themselves are fine, and I plan to order more in the future.
Cannot be framed in a standard 18x24 frame. br>br>1/16-1/16-1/16-1/16-1/16-1/16-1/16-1/16-1/16-1/16-1/16-1/16 1/8 inch too big. They're 18 inches long and wide. 24 x 3/16" 3/16.
I used paint samples to test colors for cabinets on these boards. They were simple to paint, but they curved up at the corners once they were done. This made taping them to the cabinets extremely difficult; I intend to paint them.
It was heavily wrapped in Saran Wrap, which made opening the box a pain. BOTH boxes of foam had crushed edges, causing it to be defective.
I used to make collages when I was younger. It arrived in good condition, with no visible signs of wear and tear. It worked flawlessly, and it was nice and thick, just like foam boards should be. I liked the variety of sizes and the amount I got for such a low price; I would buy it again (and probably will!).
