It is true. Despite being made of mild steel, this material will hold magnets. Being able to do something well is a matter of opinion. There is no way I can know what you consider to be Though they probably won't stick all that well.

My Army truck needed this gauge of steel because it had to replace a section of its floor. There are supposed to be hardware stores in our area that carry it, but they never do. My truck work was put on hold for two months because of the weather. What an annoyance! It was only after I discovered I could order it from Amazon that I realized I could! The size and gauge were exactly what I needed and it cost half as much as I would have paid at the hardware store. Amazon will be the location where I purchase all of my sheet steel from now on!.
The material is shear cut so it is not particularly flat and they use paper stickers that are nearly.
I cut my hand when I took this product out of its packaging. The edges of this product are so sharp that I cut myself. If you want to prevent this, make sure it's well sanded. This is unacceptable!.
There's no better metal for this job than this one! I am happy with how fast they ship and the quality of the products.
It's a nice looking paint job. My main circuit breaker box panel had holes in it, so I used this to cover those up. You did a great job.
