A box cutter was my weapon of choice.
I'm going to use it for the wall. I believe they would.
I haven't tried it yet, but I believe they'd work well for mounting photos. They're uniform and rigid enough to accomplish the task.
I only drew lines to make the various cuts I needed. It works well with pencils, ballpoint pens, and indelible markers.
Selected User Reviews For Foam Board - White 24"x36" (10 sheets)
These were purchased in order to create supersized letters for a school party. They were there in no time. The majority of them were completely flat. I didn't mind that some of the corners were slightly bent. I was already planning on removing them. They are the same Elmer boards that can be found in craft stores, but with larger dimensions. It was much more suitable for a larger area. I was able to draw shapes and carve them out with an exacto knife, then glue and glitter it like any other foamboard. Keep in mind that glue or wet paint will warp the board, so treat the back side similarly to make it flat.
To reduce sound reflections, I used this as a backing for studio foam squares. It's adequate and serves its purpose. After shipping, a couple of spots on the edges were slightly dented, which is to be expected given the size of the sheets and their slight curve. Some of the ten are slightly curved, but they are all straight.

I discovered several of the boards were warped and did not lie flat about halfway through my project. I was disappointed because I had already begun using them when I realized this.
They're foam core, so what else can they do?br>They arrived in excellent condition, with no bent or dented corners.
It was well-packaged and arrived in good condition. My daughter's presentation boards turned out beautifully.
They're tough but not too heavy. It's always a good idea to have a few on hand.
We got a few that had been damaged by a forklift. They were a little too delicate for our needs. If you put pressure on the board, it will easily leave indentations. Perhaps for light projects in the classroom or at work, but not for what we use them for.
