Questions & Answers

What is the foam board's thickness?

It's 3/16" to 1/4" thick.

Is this a firm or a pliable material?

They're set in their ways. Like other foam core boards, it's not as solid as plywood, and it's not as flexible as light-weight poster board.

Is it possible to use the puzzle as a tack board by mounting it on the puzzle?

I don't think it'll be thick enough for that. Also, if you paint mod podge on a puzzle, it will look nice. Brush strokes with a curved shape are appealing.

Is it truly acid-free, according to the package label? free? You want to make certain that the product description is correct. Thanks! ?

I just received my order, and neither the packaging nor any of the labels mention that the boards are acid free. It's back to square one.

The canvas backing is ideal
5/5

I went with canvas pads instead of framed canvas because they were less expensive and took up less space in my closet. Then I realized I'd have to buy extra mats to frame and stretch them if I wanted to hang them up! Oops. So these are what I found. These were perfect for the job, with a little mounting tape on each corner. It's strong enough to hang on the wall with command strips and hold the canvas in place perfectly!.

For 4 hour projects, I used this
5/5

So, as part of a 4-hour project, we ordered these. The size was ideal, and the durability was as expected (due to the thin board). We, on the other hand, had a difficult time staying on track. For putting pictures on the board, we usually use spray adhesive or even rubber cement; however, I'm not sure if it was the board or the fact that the pictures were printed on a strange material that made adhesives difficult to work with. However, just in case, consider having a variety of adhesives on hand.

Cute! I bought these to make my first birthday chalkboard, and it turned out beautifully
5/5

I still have some gaps to fill, and my artistic ability isn't particularly impressive. You can easily erase mistakes without damaging the board if you trace lightly with a pencil first.

It wasn't very good at cutting
3/5

Now, I'm not particularly gifted in this area. br>br>I bought these to use as game inserts in a few of my board games. I saw some pictures of it on the internet, and it appeared to be fairly simple. So I placed an order for this, as well as an exacto knife and some glue. br>br>Perhaps it was just my lack of artistic ability, but I couldn't get these to cut properly. The knife was razor-sharp, but it didn't enjoy cutting through this material. I eventually gave up and declared the situation a wash.

For mounting photos, this is ideal
3/5

The panels had come loose from the foam core in some places. However, I glued them back down and it worked perfectly. br>br>Excellent for mounting photos- I glued them to the foam board, gave them a coat of mod podge, cut them down to size with an xacto knife, and used poster mounts to hang them on the wall. I can't put nails in this wall, so this is a great way to decorate it.

It's both sturdy and light
4/5

During a party we threw, we used these as a backdrop for gluing pictures and instructions for a game. They were small and light, but they were strong enough to complete the task. They were in great shape when they arrived. The boards are shrink wrapped, which bends the board's corner tips slightly during the process. It wasn't enough to ruin them, but creases in the corners were a possibility. I attached them to the wall with velcro, and when I removed the adhesive, only a small layer peeled off, allowing me to reuse them. They are, however, costly. br>br> You can get them for a lot less money at your local dollar store or party store. The quality of this item, on the other hand, will be far superior. So it's entirely up to you to decide what you want to do with them and how you'll put them to use. What I'd like to see - br>br> I'm not sure how it would be implemented, but a small detachable wedge could be placed behind the board to allow it to stand up on a table or flat surface on its own. I know you can prop it up with something, but it would be even better if it had a feature like this.

Gluing up posters is something I've been doing for a long time
5/5

It's a better deal than anything else at $2 per board. This is a true 3/16" thick white foam core board with paper on both sides, or what feels like 1/4" thick white foam core boards. After that, I use spray glue to adhere my posters to it.
