I used to work in a print shop, where I used to mount photos and signs on backing board. I wasn't expecting top-notch boards for this price. br>br>Here's how they appeared when they first arrived. After reading the reviews, I anticipated some minor corner damage. br>br>When they arrive, don't expect to have a full set of usable corner to corner boards; I expected to have to trim about 4 inches, and now I'm wondering if half of what I got is actually usable for what I needed.
These were used to add support to a very large puzzle that I had glued and intended to hang on my wall. I used double sided tape to attach these foam boards to the back of the puzzle, which measured about 3'x4'. I had no trouble cutting (I used an X-Acto knife). Some pieces were cut out with an ACTO knife to help fit the back area better. The foam boards were mounted to the wall using Command strips. It worked perfectly (although it is still dangling).
This foam board is what I use to make FliteTest (FT) model airplanes. Because the foam FT sells is brown and I didn't want to paint it, I purchased this. br>When I received my box, two of the sheets' corners were severely damaged. That was something I was able to get around. Additionally, the laminated material on one side of the FT models may be peeled off in order to curve the foam on occasion. This board's paper rips and isn't designed to be peeled cleanly off.
I was concerned that ordering foam boards over the internet would result in them being bent or torn. Because, let's face it, we all know what's going on. When I go to the store to buy them, I have to look very carefully for this reason - These were delivered promptly and in a lovely box. There are no tears, smudges, or bends! I would strongly suggest it! I'd prefer to buy these over store-bought because I won't have to worry about the quality!.
The product arrived in a shoddy package. The ends are damaged and the color is not black. It has an awful odor. It was thrown away. Not a good idea.

I started with thick poster board, or at least that's what I thought it was. But because it reminded me of poster paper, I decided to keep it. I placed another order, this time with the foam board. I needed something sturdy because I was going to attach wood to it to make an American flag. This is ideal, and it's nice and sturdy, and at $2 per sheet, I think it's a good deal.
NICE. Corners were protected, and the boards were kept relatively flat, thanks to the packaging. It's a good material that I've already used for a number of projects.
