  This is a fantastic set of LED lights that you can use in places where there isn't usually AC power (e. g. , in a closet). Boats, RVs, closets, tool chests, gun safes, cabinets, and other similar items). The lights are motion-activated and rechargeable. sensitive, with a good size-to-brightness ratio (e. g. I have a brighter set of LED motion light strips, but they are huge, and these lights are a little easier to position and place). br>br>The only disadvantage I've discovered with the lights is that you must ensure that they are oriented in such a way that they will detect motion. Although the range appears to be adequate, you must ensure that the "eye" is aimed at hands, arms, or someone entering the room. The second disadvantage is that the padded magnetic tape that comes with the lights makes it more difficult to stick them to steel or iron surfaces because the padded magnetic strips have low magnetism and the padding is too thick (so the stronger smaller magnets on each end don't actually touch the metal surface). My recommendation is this: Leave the stickers off if you want to stick these on metal surfaces. Use the stickers only if you want to flip them over, stick them on a surface, and have the lights magnetically cling to the secure stickers. This may appear strange at first, but once you remove them from the box, it will make sense.

As a result, when I saw the mini versions, I thought to myself, "I HAVE to get these. " They're fantastic for nighttime walkways, closets, and cabinets! I have one in each of the three, and my husband even took one to the garage to use when he works on cars! The magnetic function is extremely useful! From him being able to stick it to the hood of his car or underneath where he works, to me being able to stick it to the wall for late-night bathroom trips. It's so nice to be able to take them off the wall and recharge them without any problems. I can take it off in the morning when we aren't using it and charge it, then put it back on at night and set it to low light, motion sensor mode, as shown in the photo above. My daughter adores the fact that we now have lights in the bathroom. We couldn't figure out why she kept wetting the bed (she's 7) until we realized it was because it was too dark and she was afraid to go into the bathroom with the small light we had plugged in. She has the entire walkway lit up with these lights, and she is not afraid to use the restroom! There isn't a single thing about these that I would change. Whenever I have the opportunity, I recommend them to family and friends.

I've never had any trouble getting the light to turn on, and it appears to stay on long enough while you're nearby. I installed one in my pantry, and it turns on as soon as I open the door and begin to inspect the contents. You don't have to do anything special like wave your hand in front of it. br>br>Having a setting that only turns on when motion is detected but only when it is also dark is also useful for preserving battery life. br>br>Speaking of batteries, because these are attached to their mount by a magnet, you can easily pull them off to charge them and then simply place them back on their mount when they're finished. br>br>There are three brightness levels available, which appear to be adequate for most situations - The dimmest setting (for nighttime situations) and the medium setting (for things like the pantry) are the ones I reach for the most. br>br>I would give the ease of installation a five-star rating, but I had to give it a four-star rating because, while it was quick and easy, I'm not a big fan of things that come with adhesive strips that I'm supposed to stick all over my house. I haven't attempted to remove them yet, so I guess I won't know for a while, but they don't have any kind of pull tab to remove the adhesive, so I imagine I'll have four strips of paint missing when I remove them from their current location for whatever reason. Due to this assumption, I had to find places where I didn't mind the paint being stripped, such as the inside of my pantry, which isn't visible under normal circumstances, on less expensive furniture, etc. , or places where I figured I could get the adhesive off even if it took some effort, such as the refrigerator. So, while the physical placement was simple, the strong adhesive strips limited me in some ways. I'm not sure how to fix this - Unless you want to have a pull-style self-propelled vehicle, that is. I can't say I blame them for not removing the adhesive strip. br>br>Overall, I was leaning toward a 4 star rating because this product isn't what I'd call 'perfect' for me, but honestly, if you're looking for a motion sensing LED light that you can stick up on anything using non-removable adhesive strips, and you know that going in, this is going to be a 5 star product for you, and just because I'm a little non-committal about it, I think it committed and would prefer removable strips [and perhaps a few extra strips in the box like other self-contained units] removing adhesive strips for future replacement] does not mean that this product does not work as intended and does not, in my opinion, match the description well, so I must give it a 4. I gave it a five-star rating because Amazon won't let me give it a four. 5 star review, I'll be generous and give it a 5 star overall rating, with the caveat that the adhesive is permanent and may pull paint or damage other surfaces.
