These led strips were purchased to be used beneath my cabinets. Everything appears to be in order. br>br>Here are a few (crucial) installation tips. br>br>(Or, in the words of the SNL character "Franz," "hear me now, believe me later. ") If you don't understand what I'm talking about, look it up in the urban dictionary. )br>br>First and foremost, DO NOT STICK THESE LED STRIPS DIRECTLY ON THE UNDER-COVER. SURFACE OF THE CABINET! br>br>You may be wondering why. 1) These LED strips are impossible to clean. The entire electrical system is visible. They will become soiled, and cleaning them is nearly impossible. br>2) You will almost certainly never be able to remove or adjust them without damaging them. Because of the strength of the adhesive, it's nearly impossible to adjust the flexible LED strip once it's stuck to the underside of the cabinet. br>3) These bare LED strips stuck to the underside of the cabinet just look "cheap. " So, instead of making the same mistake I did, do the following: br>br> br>br>1) Purchase aluminum channels to hold the LEDs and secure them to the cabinet's underside. 2) Make use of the new-style font. fanged 2- To secure the aluminum channels to the cabinet's underside, use a double-sided "nano-tape. " br>br>How does this solve the issues? br>br>1) The channels have a cover/light-up feature. diffuser. As a result, the LED strip is contained within a covered channel that is easy to clean. br>2) They will be dead if they use the channel. on its own. I used two kits to avoid having to run spacers around the window and other such hassles. I was able to use the same remote on both strips, allowing me to have one in the kitchen and one in the living room. I'm thinking about getting a third kit to light up a small section of cabinetry near the microwave. It's nice that the price is low, because I don't feel bad about having extra kits. You can trim this tape as long as you keep in mind that the end of the run will be where you cut it.

First, there aren't enough connectors to go around a refrigerator or stove, and there aren't enough connectors to go around both the fridge and the stove. Instead of using the connectors to go around one of them, my husband and I simply used two sets instead. br>Now for the second point. No matter how many of the little sticky things you use, they will not stick. A tiny bead of hot glue about every 8-inch interval works perfectly. ten inches We started with the sticky things, and when we woke up the next morning, all of the wires were dangling. We reasoned that because hot glue dries clear, it would be invisible. As a result, we used hot glue to hold everything together. They're still up, and they're looking fantastic. br>As for the positive aspects of these lights, they are as follows: br>Depending on the setting, they are either very bright or very dim. When I'm working on the counters in the kitchen, I use the 50%, 75%, and 100%. I use the sky/moon setting at night when we need a little light. If you want to get a drink or a snack, it keeps things light. Also, I've used them on 50% or 75% occasionally just because they look nice. When I have company, I put them on 50% or 75% occasionally. It gives the impression of being warm and inviting. These are fantastic, and I'm glad I got them.

I adore these lights, and they're ideal for use as under-counter lighting in my kitchen. There was, however, one snag: Unless you unplug them, they will not turn off. The remote controls the light settings, which range from soft low light to full bright light with colors. It has no effect on them. This is the second time I've bought them. The first time was to see if I liked them and if they were a good fit for my needs. The lights were beautiful as a strand, but the remote didn't work at all, most likely due to a communication inline piece. I was so taken with them that I went ahead and bought the second strand to finish the project, hoping that this box would be trouble-free. Yes, everything worked fine with the remote except turning the lights off. As a result, I ordered an Alexa outlet and connected the lights to it. 'Alexa, turn on kitchen,' I say now, and the lights turn on. I use the remote that I've mounted on the wall - one on each of the kitchen's ends - It works, and I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the fact that I adore the lights - I just wish the company did a better job of quality control or offered to correct the problem.

I'm relieved that this is a true RF remote; I tested it behind a wall and it still worked, indicating that it is not an IR remote. Because my cabinets were disconnected, I needed three separate installations, but being able to control them all with a single remote is almost as good as what a pro would do! Because the wall warts are small and white, they don't appear to be a big deal. There are enough cord holders included to keep them from dangling. I left the lights on all day to give the adhesive a little warmth, but they are actually quite cool to touch. I gave the remote four stars because every now and then, all three kits do not turn on at the same time, requiring you to manually turn them all off and restart the remote. Because they are LED and the installation appears to be completely hidden, I believe they should last a long time! Overall, I give it 5 out of 5 stars. In addition, I believe the kit is reasonably priced, given the high-tech features and ease of installation.
