Yes, the light should be kept in a dry environment.
Dear customer, this item comes in two colors: 5000k and 6500k. 5000k is daylight, which is the closest to natural light, while 6500k is cool white, which gives the impression of being cool.
Yes, this 2ft led utility shop light can be hardwired; however, hardwiring is not included in this product. You can power this light with the included power cords. Thanks

PROS: br>br> br>br>1) Colors appear to be reasonable in the light. 2) The light fixture does not become extremely hot to the touch. 3) The light is sufficiently bright. CONS: br>br> 1) The two rows of LEDs are arranged in a V-shape. shaped. I wish these lights had two flat rows so that light could be directed downwards rather than spilling out from the grow racks, which is what I need. I couldn't find another product with the same light temperature (5000K) and brightness (1680LM) as this one at the time of purchase. br>br>2) The plastic used for switches has a cheap appearance and feel to it. It appears to have been purchased at a discount store. The LEDs' plastic cover is also thin and flimsy. br>br>Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, and my plants are flourishing under these lights.
These are, indeed, incredible. I bought two of these to use as grow lights for my plants, and after only two weeks of use, I've already noticed a significant improvement in my plants. I can now confidently purchase plants in the clearance section, knowing that I will be able to return them. You're good to go with this product and a humidifier. We'll see how they hold up after two weeks, but so far, they've impressed me. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: It's been a few months, and I've already bought six more, adding to my ever-growing collection! These are the absolute best.
They went perfectly with my newly constructed workbench.
To provide more light for the counter top, I installed two of these LED light bars beneath the cabinets in the kitchen. I'm really happy with the outcome. The amount of light available is abundant, and the color temperature is warm. The light bars are lightweight and only required two screws to install (for a total of four screws). The in-line on-demand feature appeals to me. Also, there is an off switch. But how long will they last? I'm crossing my fingers.
The lamp is ideal for a beginner in every way. There is no heat, it is bright, and it is simple to put together. It's bright as hell, and it's a great price point for a small-scale gardener. I upgraded from a single growing bulb (from a box store) that supposedly had enough spectrum to grow, but I noticed my seedlings were always getting too much light (legggggy). This photo shows seedlings that were started under a single bulb and then moved to my new lights the next morning (I noticed an immediate change in growth rate and direction). br>br>I'm new to this and don't intend to build a crazy grow cabinet; instead, I'm just looking for a simple setup to get some starter seedlings while the weather is bad. These were PERFECT in terms of price, size, and shelf space. br>br>NEVER got hot, and it was small enough to be portable if I needed to bring something inside from the garage during inclement weather or the winter. They're each 2 feet long and emit 360 degrees of light (which is excessive but not fatal). It's not difficult to shade the side down 3 inches so that the light is indirect rather than blinding as you walk by). br>br>It comes with brackets for mounting on the wall (or a wood plank, as I did). I spent about $5 on hardware, but I already had a piece of plank board at home. Setup is a cinch. The only drawback is that each of the TWO 2' lamps in this set comes with only one power cord (unless you choose to connect them for a 4 foot long light). The adapter to simply link the lights in my configuration cost an additional $15 to $30 (I didn't know how this would work out, so I didn't get it). br>br>I'm very happy because my seedlings are happy, which makes me happy. When I make a portable bracket system for inside the house, I'll purchase more.
These lights were purchased to be mounted under a shelf above a workbench in my garage as well as under cabinets in my kitchen. They are ideal for these applications. br>br>Just keep in mind that these are extremely bright, so you'll want to mount them somewhere where you'll see reflected light. That is, don't put them where you'll see the tube directly because they're bright enough to be uncomfortable to stare at. br>br>These would probably work well for plant starts as well, because the brighter the better. br>br>I mounted it using the included metal clips and screws, which was a quick and painless process that took less than 5 minutes. I used an impact driver, but a screw driver would probably suffice; it would just take a little longer. Regular double-spaced double-spaced double-spaced double-spaced double-spaced adhesive strips with two sides (not included). The lights are only 5 pounds and are made of extruded aluminum and plastic. Because they're only 2 oz, they don't require a strong mount point. The lights are all recessed three-light fixtures. Each end has a three-pronged power port, allowing you to plug in at either end or daisy chain them together. The description says not to daisy chain more than six lights, but the paperwork says up to 300 watts, which would mean 21 of these 14W lights. Covers for any unused power ports are also included in the hardware. br>br>The tube is protected by a thin, flexible, but durable plastic cover. It is resistant to cracking and appears to be adequate for basic LED protection. br>br>Overall, I found these lights to be an excellent value and more than adequate in terms of brightness for my needs. I strongly advise you to purchase them.
Above my bench, under a shelf, I mounted two 2' strips. It removed the shadows cast by my hands as they worked in front of me. This will save me a lot of time and headaches from straining my eyes to see fine details. DO NOT, contrary to popular belief, throw away the small mounting screws that come with the package. They're ideal for the light lite (I had to dig through the trash to find mine).
