It may not have a lip, but the thickness should be about 1/32 of an inch based on the thickness of a ruler. A very solid piece of equipment, but with some flexibility as well. This product has some giving, so I wouldn't roll it into a tube shape, but it does work well. I have had this product for several months and have been very satisfied with it. My weight is 160 lbs and I am on med carpet The carpet has been maintained and shows no signs of wear and tear after a weight of 170 lbs was placed on it. It is very hard to find a better product than this.
Beveled edges are not present on the edges.
This mat is flexible and can be configured to fit any need. In total, I bought 3 of these mats and cut them all to fit in around door jams and to a finished contour shape that covers a much larger area than I was able to cover with a single mat. The tool I used was an oscillating multi tool with a fine blade, but you can use a jig saw with a fine tooth blade or a skill saw/table saw, etc. There is a decent chance that you'll need to deburr the edges once you've finished since the burr will appear on the edge regardless of what you used to cut it.
