It is clear, but I returned it because the chair sunk too deep There will be a cost of about $60 to purchase this. To get a hard surface mat, you will need to spend USD 50. This is a worthwhile investment.
At the time when I bought it, it said it was "made in USA The packaging did not have a marking to that effect, so I did not check it.
I'm not exactly sure this is correct, but it is thought that PVC does not crack if frozen (like pipes), whereas vinyl would crack and not necessary for an office room.
It doesn't seem to have dents for some reason. After not sitting in my chair overnight, my chair develops dents after being in one place too long. However, they are gone by the next morning after the chair has not been in the same spot for too long.

The wheels don't allow you to roll very well, so just lay them down. It is difficult to move the chair after it has sat for some time in one place. The rollers sink down over time. As soon as my wife sat down, she claimed, "I can't roll on these. " They're supposed to be for carpet, but the first time she rolled on them, she collapsed. So I'm off to Office Max to get her a hard plastic one instead of a soft one. It would be too much trouble to send them back, might cut them down and use them to hold my tools.

My height is 6'7" and my weight is 235 lbs, but when the other reviews say things like "chair wheels cause divots in the plastic" and "depression marks easily form when chairs wheels sit on it", I will listen in future. When I used it for the first time, there were divots, depressions, and debossed marks. Do not even think about buying this unless you are really in need of one for the weekend and this is the only one available. I would never use this product again.
I broke my bank in a month. Make sure you buy a quality product. I bought this mat for under my son's desk, and I am very pleased with it. The carpet in his room is medium thickness, so to keep his gaming chair rolling smoothly, he wanted to get a suitable piece of furniture. The mat might have appeared to fit and function correctly upon initial installation, but it has started showing signs of fatigue within a month of installation. It has now turned into a shattered mess of broken plastic chips a couple of months later. In the interest of full disclosure, I was attracted to the low price. Another blazing example of "you get what you pay for"!.
A dimple appears on the mat where my chair sat. If I had ordered from Office Depot or another trustworthy and reputable source, I would have been far more satisfied. Unfortunately, money doesn't grow on trees! I am very disappointed.

My rolling chair is on low pile carpet (or whatever it might be in a typical household), and there are some dents where I've sat in it for a long period of time, but they don't get in the way of my movement. Though I'm not certain whether the chair has just indented into the mat, I believe that the dents on the carpet would disappear with time if the mat was removed. I left it on the floor for a few hours and flattened it with weights on the corners. As of today, it is still flat. If you are on a budget and don't have a strong interest in an absolutely no-dents surface, then you should consider it.
Currently, I have no idea how durable the product will be. I agree that the softness of the mat makes it difficult to roll the chair easily, but that is not why people have given poor reviews. I think the mat will protect the carpet, but it doesn't make it easy for rolling the chair. It is easy for the chair wheels to make indentations, especially when I sit in it. The item is just cheap, so I played the dice, and I regretted it. I gave 3 stars because disappointingly I got what I paid for. I would not order online next time since I would probably choose a better chair mat if I sat on it in a store. I would have likely purchased a better mat if I had felt it in a store.
