Its weight is very high which enables our glass floor mats to carry a great deal of weight. As long as both corners are not stressed separately and the force is uniform, there is no reason for concern.
the description says can withstand pressure of 1200 lbs? Isn't the material stronger, or is it different, weight or is the pressure different that weight?
I bought this for my wife to install as a replacement mat for a vinyl one. Though I'm not an expert, the quality of the product certainly did not disappoint either of us, especially the price. In light of their description, it is apparent that the glass is actually a mirror. The case has not been scratched in any way over the years because it has been in use for a long time. Since I bought it, it continues to look very clear to me.

I bought the second set and fell in love with it. A chair mat is essential as carpets and wheels complement each other very well. In workplaces, we all had plastic mats. This ranged from smooth to hard to cover. They may be functional, but they all seem ugly. I really like the tempered glass that this time around is much more useful, visually attractive, functional, and much better as a result of the moisture cure. In my experience, I don't have to deal with too much sinking. The material is durable, soft, and environmentally friendly. In addition to the age and crack problem with some plastic mats, they also need replacing often. Over the long term, I think the glasses will last.
Several mats I tried out with our new hardwood flooring that appears like wood turned out to be okay. Using mats (for hard surfaces) didn't make stopping damage to the vinyl floor strip unnecessary. It tempered the glass, preventing further damage, and made the impact stop. The whole downstairs of our house was done using the LVT and the results looked great, but the rollers on my chair were getting in the way. One of my two mats will probably need to be repaired (I bought extra). Vinyl was just as rough as the hard wheels in my chair, as well as my heavy weight.
Having been very hesitant to buy something like this, my husband works in my home office and I'm 280 pounds, so I have standard builder grade carpet. Previously I had a plastic mat that worked for almost a year. Now it disintegrates under my weight while I sit. Having rotate the base at the same time that I sit on top of the legs and forward facing issues. With this, one leg directly behind me as I sat and worked 90% of the time. With medium pile carpets, I always placed the least concern with glass. In fact, I anticipated that the glass would snap like a saltine cracker as it carried weight evenly throughout. As far as I know, I've been using it for over two weeks and its perfect. I find it somewhat unnerving at first standing on glass, but those feelings fade as you move along. As far as I know, there have been several times during roll out that items have been dropped over it at the edges. No problems have been reported with my chair in any particular instance. The glass was also a bit cautious when placed under normal conditions on the carpet. It's because I secured the mat with sticky pads and this made things that much more comfortable, and the spikes on the underside don't impede their operation. If I recommend this to a parent or someone in my family, it can do so.
Definitely better than plastic, the chair mat from this retailer is unbeatable. With the caster wheels (roller blades style), I do not have to worry about any damages to my mat. As this rug's design changes with the raised edges, it can shift a little. It is important not to overlook this in order to avoid completely flat carpets. As a rule, I used the rubber discs. I regret I didn't get this in a 50" X 50" which gives the chair more space than sliding off of the 48". The mat itself is great, though in a bigger size.
Despite the better product, I would have rather bought a bigger one for myself. Does your chair keep rolling you keep rolling off it!.
On a vinyl floor, I'm using the same glass chair mat I use. I find it to be quite beautiful, durable, and easy to clean due to its heavy duty frame. Unlike furniture, the chair does well to move on and off the glass. Since I need one to complete another desk or chair, I expect it to last a long time with this item.
