I'm not sure if it'll fit every office chair, so I wouldn't call it universal, but it's made to fit the most common office chair arm rests.
To install the screws, you'll only need a Philips screwdriver. It's very simple to accomplish.
They were made in China, as was the rest of the chair that had the arms replaced, as I recall. Many chairs have them as standard equipment.

Because I'd only had my office chair for a little over a year when it went out of warranty, I contacted the manufacturer to see if I could purchase replacement arms because both of mine had torn. br>br>Unfortunately, they only sell replacement parts for damaged chairs and do not sell replacement parts. But, since mine was no longer under warranty, I didn't see the point in returning it. I was disappointed because I assumed I'd have to purchase a new chair simply to replace the arms. br>br>When I first saw these, I was skeptical because I couldn't imagine how they could possibly work. However, they turned out to be perfect. br>br>The arms are firmer than the ones that came with my original chair. When you put your arms on them, instead of being cushy, they only give a small amount of support, similar to an airplane armrest, which is a good thing in my opinion because my previous one split after about a year because it was too soft. br>br>I've had them on there for about three months and they've held up admirably. So, if you're looking for a new arm for your office chair, these are definitely worth a try.
I was about to replace the chair because the old armrests were falling apart, but then I came across these and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and fit. The screws that came with it were a little short, but they got the job done. By replacing the armrests rather than the entire chair, we were able to save money. They are actually more comfortable and attractive than the originals. foam of exceptional quality They're a little stiffer and wider than the originals, but they're a lot more comfortable than the ones that came with the chair. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking for a better option. Note: Before purchasing, measure the distance between the center of the screws that attach to the chair armrest to ensure proper fitment.
The screws for the armrests were not threaded. It's just a hole in the ground. OOPS. The factory's manufacturing process appears to be incomplete. I asked for a substitution. I'll see if I get the same result as you. Apart from the fact that I couldn't attach them to my chair, they appear to be of higher quality than I had anticipated. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Today I received my replacement. There are no threads for the screws to attach to, as I expected. I now need to return two sets. Someone selling garbage like this makes me very sad.
Simple to swap out. If you're unsure or in doubt, I'd recommend measuring the holes. It appears to be a standard universal placement. It arrived today and was replaced in less than five minutes. Overall, I like how comfortable it feels and how it's molded; elbow comfort and placement are definitely taken into consideration. The material appears to be sturdy, and I'll keep you updated if anything changes. But it's only the first day, and I'm overjoyed.
These armrest pads are better than the originals in terms of functionality. They're a tad bit longer than the originals; The extra space, on the other hand, is something I appreciate. The pads appear to be of comparable or superior quality to the originals. The armrest assembly's contours will determine how difficult it is to install. The installation process went smoothly for me.
These will fit if the armrest holes are the standard 4" apart. It isn't the softest or most comfortable arm rests, but it is preferable to being cut up by the old cracked ones.
The edges of the raises are uncomfortable unless your forearm is straight and in line with the rest of your body. I ordered some pads to see if they would help.
After a few years of hard use, the originals that came with the chair began to fall apart. I came across these and they appeared to be nearly identical. They're either identical or similar enough that it doesn't make a difference. One word of caution: do not attempt to replace the arm pads while seated in the chair. It takes a lot longer than if you could at least turn the chair on its side.
