It's not simple to set up properly
5/5

I considered giving this product a four-star rating, but that would be deceptive. The product is excellent in and of itself. Most people will struggle with the assembly instructions and machine screws. The screws, as mentioned in at least one other excellent review, proved to be far too long for my purposes. Fortunately, a good hardware store nearby has a wide selection of fasteners, so I purchased four screws that were the right length for my chair. br>br>The instructions for putting it together are almost useless. They fail to mention that there are two armrests, one on each side, and that they are not identical. One is an exact replica of the other. This was discovered after I installed them incorrectly, focusing solely on the front-end. the position of the back Make sure you don't repeat the same error! When looking at the left armrest from the back, the padding is slightly higher on the left side. A capital "L" is molded into the black plastic near the threads on the left rest. A capital "R" is molded into the right rest, as well. Why is this significant? br>br> Because the majority of us have body geometry that angles our arms inward or closer to each other than the armrests are to each other, our shoulders are more inward or closer to each other than the armrests are to each other. Our upper arms slant slightly outward from our bodies as a result of this. The armrests must be adjusted to match our elbows in order to achieve this angle. The armrests are angled away from our elbows, not toward them, because they are installed incorrectly. br> I made the illustration to demonstrate what I'm attempting to convey.

Arm pads of excellent quality
5/5

These replacement pads appear to be of good quality. On my HON chair, the 4" holes were perfectly aligned. They're sculpted to cradle your arm and are soft but not overly so. If I had one wish, it would be that they had included a set of very short screws, as the ones that came with it were too long for most of the chairs I've ever owned. Fortunately, I had four short bolts in the right size, but it would have been nice to have a set of them included. So keep in mind that if you don't want the screws to extend too far into the arm pad, you may need to buy shorter screws, bolts, or spacers.

It's good, but it could be even better with a minor change
4/5

The product appeals to me, and I appreciate it. Because of their poor condition, the armrests I replaced were actually causing problems with my forearms. br>br>Because the fasteners on my office chair armrest mount are spaced 5" apart, I can only use one screw to secure these to the mount. Given that the armrests only keep my arms at rest (odd, isn't it? ), I'd say it's a win-win situation. ) while I'm at my desk, I don't think of it as a drawback; it is what it is. They're rock solid even with only one screw in place. for someone who works at a computer. br>br>The hardware that comes with these is my only gripe. I'd give it five stars if the manufacturer/vendor provided flat top fasteners instead of rounded top fasteners. (The screw locations on the chair mounts were chosen to allow for flush mounting of screws for a reason!) )br>br>My chair's armrest mounts allow me to slide the armrest forwards and backwards as needed. Because the rounded top prevents the sliding mechanism from working properly, the hardware provided with these does not allow for this. br>br>I was able to make these work by using the flat top screws from my old armrests. br>br>This is a very minor change for the vendor that could transform these into something truly spectacular.

Armrests that are superior to the originals These are a step up from my Temperpedic TP- There are 4000 chairs available
5/5

Within weeks of purchasing the chair, the original armrests began to fall apart. Although these are stiffer than the originals, there is no uncomfortable pressure on my forearm even when I cross my arm across the raised sides (higher than the originals). I believe they will last much longer as a result of the higher density. Instead of cupper/raised, I wish they were available "flat. " Because the arms on this chair do not swivel, the channel formed by the raised edlges is only effective if your arms are straight and parallel (which is unnatural). However, this is the fault of the chair, not these replacement armrests (the originals were also cupped in this manner). My bare arms don't feel like they're sticking to the replacements because they're a little more textured.

New armrests are very nice! Please note that they are compatible with the Raynor TX- Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Ped Pedic seat cushions, available at Staples and Office Depot, are ideal
4/5

br>br>When installing them, keep in mind that they have a left/right and front/back side, as well as a slight tilt that makes them feel strange if installed backwards. br>br>Aside from that, I'm not sure what else to say. They're replacement armrest pads for your desk chair's worn-out ones. br>br>I deducted one star because there is a small amount of flash (sharp edge) left over from the injection molding process, which you may need to sand away. It is abrasive to the touch. It's not a big deal; a little medium or fine sandpaper will suffice, but it should have been caught at the factory.

They weren't supposed to be on fit, so that surprised me
5/5

I have an Office Depot chair of an unknown brand that I bought years ago. The armrests were beginning to crack and crumble after so many years. I made unsightly repairs with tape and a couple of old towels, but repairing was something I had to do on a regular basis. I couldn't justify buying a new chair because the one I had was fine. I bought these replacements after seeing two sets of holes on both rests in the photos and assuming that one set would match the chair's hole placements, which it did. I'm extremely happy. These are far superior to the originals in my opinion. They cradle your arm as if it were their own. Thank you to the reviewer who forewarned us about the distinct right and left turns.

It had been a breeze
5/5

That's what it took to get these up and running. The new screws are also included in the package. br>Always a plus if it fits perfectly. They aren't symmetrical in any way. br>br> One end is narrower than the other, and one edge is slightly thicker than the other. It's done on purpose. br>It's a matter of personal preference as to which end and which external support you prefer, but testing all four took me about 15 minutes and a Philips screwdriver. The slightly smaller end forward, with the thicker outside edge, was my preference. br>If you purchase these, it will be obvious. br>They are thick, with just enough cushion, and after about an hour of "testing," they are very comfortable. br>It's a good price for a good product.
