I'm at a loss for how high I can raise my armchair arms. My elbows are at a comfortable height when I use these on my office chair. Also, the padding is excellent. Holding my arms up when I don't have them causes shoulder pain. It's also inconvenient to move around constantly while using the computer, trying to find a comfortable position for your elbows. If you're on the short end of the spectrum, If you're taller, you absolutely must have. Even with these, resting your arms and elbows will be a breeze! It's a great concept.
On my wooden glider chair, they served as a cushioned armrest. I wasn't sure if they would fit or look good on a chair in the family room because they were add-on arm rests for Office chair products. br>They were perfect, with one minor flaw that didn't keep me from giving them a five-star rating. I only wish there had been a larger size option available. br>I also prefer the contoured design to the straight arm rests because it better cradles the arm.
These are the ones I use for my computer chair. I used to have to stack two arm pads to get the desired height, and they always slid around and weren't very good. I had to use duct tape to keep them in place! These new pads have a nice height to them. They're soft enough not to hurt my arm, but firm enough to prevent them from squashing like the others did. The grippy back keeps you from slipping. These are fantastic pads.
The velcro straps broke at the seams after only two weeks of use.
These arm rests were purchased to alleviate pain and tingling in my elbow caused by sitting at my computer all day with a mouse. After a few days, it's clear that it's made a difference. After several hours of work, there was hardly any discomfort in my elbow. To reduce wrist pressure, make sure the arm rests are aligned with the mouse surface.
It's simple to set up and use. Ideal for those who work from home or spend a lot of time sitting. The foam insert on one side is a little smaller than the other, so it fits and feels a little looser, but it's not too bad. Because I've only had them for a week, I can't comment on their durability.
br>br>I really wish the straps were in opposite directions when they closed. The excess from one pad goes away from me perfectly, but the excess from the other rubs my sides and arms constantly because the straps go inward towards me.
The addition of these cushions made a significant difference.
