Questions & Answers

It can be expanded to another handset, right?

You can add additional extensions to the unit, despite the unit only having two The two system extensions that I bought were paired up with two bases, and the extra base acted as a charger and a charging port for the other two extensions. All of these extensions display the numbers "1", "2", "3" and "4" and are compatible with all of their If you are pairing them with more than one base, just make sure you keep them the same. Because it was more cost effective to buy two sets rather than expand my phone system, I ordered two sets.

Can it be used on 220 volts?

In fact, yes. When it is powered by 220v 60Hz, it works very well. Using this condition is what I have done so far. In two cases (for instance, 110 volts and 220 volts), I measured how much voltage it outputs. Five volts were the same as the output voltage.

In order to use the modem, must both phones be plugged into it?

Not all units plug directly into phones. We only sell the larger base unit. The dial tone can be provided by just about anything, so long as it's just a regular phone line. In addition to the base, the rest of the handsets are wirelessly connected.

It is important to choose where to place the base station
3/5

Several months ago, these phones worked fine, but most recently, we noticed that they were dropping bits and pieces of conversation on both ends. That is, some words would disappear every few seconds on our end. It becomes clear from what the other person is saying that the same is happening to him or her as well. These phones have only been with us for a little over a year, so I think it might be time to investigate the warranty to see if they can be replaced. I fear that if they don't meet the criteria, we'll be throwing them out and moving on to someone As a matter of record I purchased a similar pair of Panasonic phones last year for a cottage we own in Upstate New York. I am pleased with the way they performed It is the only company I have ever had a problem with. Although I don't know whether the newer phones are suffering because of the wireless interference we most likely suffer living in an urban environment, they are not functioning well. The following has been updated 1/17/18 (upgraded from two stars to three stars) My last attempt to use these phones was moving the base station - I decided not to give up after a few attempts In our bedroom, there were a variety of devices that may have created some type of electromagnetic interference with the phones' wireless frequency since it was located near these items. Having the phone cord extend and the extension cord plugged into the base, I was able to move the whole thing about four feet away from the electronics in my home. Dropouts during call in or call out are no longer an issue. It goes without saying that both phones perform as they did even when we first acquired them. The result is If you bought these phones and are experiencing exasperating dropouts during phone calls, you can contact T-Mobile for assistance. In this situation, the voice of the other end of the line cuts in and out, and your voice does the same thing (according to the person on the other end) It may be helpful to move the base station, particularly if it is situated near other electronic gear.

The program works A sound quality that is excellent
5/5

I find it to be very useful. Using VOIP is not a problem thanks to excellent voice and sound quality. It was more economical to purchase 2 sets of expansion phones and pair them all up with a single base (second base is only used for charging), rather than buying 2 sets of expansion phones.

The phone set has two phones, and they are both without answering machines
5/5

After the massive reduction of landlines I have only found three phones with two handsets and no answering machine that are of reasonable price. Our first vendor is ViaTech, and they last less than a year in our company and we have trouble hearing through The AT&T Group They are good, but a little hard to find and getting more expensive. I was very pleased when my husband bought a set of these Panasonic phones for our small business. My visit to the big box store where he bought them resulted in them not being stocked. I ordered them from Amazon Prime and received them within a short time. These are for a different location, and they do work fine. They do come with a pack of rechargeable batteries, so if any of those were to go bad, it would be easy to purchase For those who are looking for a basic two-line phone set without answering machine that will work with up to ten phones This is how many calls I receive a day.

Excellent product and price
5/5

Excellent product and price. There is a lot of backlight as well. They both plugged right in, worked without any problems, and could be easily programed. The product is good and I will purchase it.

Phone with the perfect BASIC features
5/5

It's a great phone for its basic features. A single complaint has never been made. In the case of people who already have voicemail in another way (I have it via Google Voice and Magic Jack for free), this unit is a great alternative. By avoiding having a base that includes voicemail, this unit is a smaller unit, It is pretty likely that you cannot improve on this.

It is unreliable
3/5

My older V Tech was having reliability problems, so I purchased this in November in order to replace it. The project has been plagued with problems from the very start. A few calls are dropping while being held, while others do not reach an answering machine. My first thought was that the batteries might be faulty, so I was able to place a call for a few minutes but when I attempted to place a call, I started getting a busy signal after the first line entered and I could not finish There were times when this occurred I moved over to an AT&T phone after eventually giving up on this one Setting the t-bar to zero. As of now, this one seems to be working It was my first Panasonic phone and I thought it was good, but it was a huge disappointment and a waste of money, so it was torn apart.

A simple cordless phone would be helpful, right? Here's a model you might find useful
4/5

An excellent cordless phone for basic use. The audio quality is clear and the ringer is loud enough. I use it with an Obi200 and Google Voice to make $0/month home phone calls. I was last able to use a cordless phone back in 1994 It broke down after 10 years of service. I was looking for a low-cost DECT cordless phone that can support one or two handsets. important to me because I can easily replace them once they run out of power (or if I need to use cells with a higher capacity. I'd like to say hello to everyone on When the old Uniden's battery pack became worn out or in need of replacement, it became increasingly difficult and expensive to get new Are you looking for a cordless phone that is simple to use? Here's a model you might find useful.
