Because I have a landline, I haven't had many opportunities to put it to the test until recently. Since writing this review, I've had to use this phone more (cell service at my house remains poor). It becomes silent if I speak for more than a few minutes. I can't hear what I'm saying because the person with whom I'm conversing is deafeningly deafen However, I am aware of their presence. If I used it for more than 30 minutes, it began to mute. It's now 5 o'clock. It goes silent if I move around the house, which is only 450 square feet. If it's an important call, I'll often have to call the other person several times. Otherwise, I simply give up and stop trying. br>I'm well past the point of return/refund, so this phone is being discarded. It is not something I would advise you to do. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In my teeny-tiny apartment, I only needed one phone with an answering machine. I plugged it into the wall, then into my modem/router, where I frequently have cell phone signal issues. br> It functions properly and has a long battery life. br>In general, it's a fantastic little phone. For me, an answering machine is a must, especially given the price.

Some of our cordless phones needed to be replaced, which necessitated replacing the base unit. This foundation unit is one of our favorites. It's a little smaller than the previous one, so it takes up less space on your desk. There are also new features on the phones, such as the ability to add more names to the contact list and the ability to turn off the ringer. It's especially useful in bedrooms, where you can keep your phone nearby but not be disturbed by calls.

The sound of the voice on the other end was very clear, which I liked. It's crystal clear, and the answering machine is crystal clear as well. It's simple to set up, and I can hear it ringing from across the house. I'm very happy with the quality, and the battery lasts all day even when it's not charged.

When I call a company that has an automatic answering system that requires me to dial a specific number in order to reach someone, the system ignores my key presses. It's as if I'm not pressing the tone key at all. I double-checked that the phone was set to touch-sensitive mode. tone, and even tried using the "tone *" key, but it made no difference. Most business calls these days require you to navigate a voice menu, so the phone is practically useless. This was a complete waste of money, and I'll be staying away from Vtech in the future.

The CS6829-Vtech is a Vtech product that is designed to help people learn new things 2 DECT 6. The 0 Cordless Phone and Digital Answering System with 2 Handsets is a replacement for a previous model of the same phone that has been discontinued. I was unable to remove the battery covers from the old handsets in order to replace the worn out batteries. br>br>Today is the first day that the new set has been used. The conversation is clear and free of static or hum. I'm not sure why I waited this long.

I decided to disregard other reviewers' warnings about the phone's screen being difficult to read. We're getting on in years, and my husband had a stroke 11 years ago - Things must be simple and straightforward for him. The screen was incomprehensible even to me. After putting everything together, I realized it would never be useful, so I ordered an At&t. People praised the system as ideal for us senior citizens. It's simple to use, has voice-guided setup if desired, call blocking, and voice-announced caller ids.

This was purchased to replace an older one that was ten years old and showing signs of wear. The setup instructions are printed on a single sheet of paper that is 29" X 17" and covers both sides, rather than the usual tiny little sheet. That was intimidating, but it's not the reason I'm returning it. The deal isn't that complicated. The text size on the display screen is referred to as a breaker. Because the text is so small and thin, entering names and phone numbers in the Directory is a painstaking process. To see what you're doing, you'll need a bright light and the phone held at just the right angle; the same goes for looking through the Directory to make a call.

This product came out of the box wrapped in a Walmart bag with no battery, so I just charged it and hope it works. I could've bought it from Target for the same price, but with the whole Covid thing, I didn't want to go out in public unless absolutely necessary.
