My old cordless phones were damaged, so I bought this set to replace them. Earlier phones had a switch on the side of the handset to help raise or lower the ringer or turn it off. In this phone, the ringer can only be turned on or off by going through a menu. WHY ARE YOU MAKING FUN OF ME? As soon as I go to bed at night, I turn off my ringer on all of my cell phones. In the morning, I turn it back on. This is how I turn the ringer on or off (or change the volume of the ringer) with my handset - I have to do it with both the cordless handset and the base every night - Step 1 - Open the phone app on your gadget. To access the menu, click on the menu button2 You will find "SETTINGS" three up from the bottom. This is "

The Panasonic phone number was dialed. Panasonic KX-37 is what they recommended I buy I bought it here on Amazon DID TGE474S. . . . and guess what else? THE FLAP SWITCH FOR RINGING IS ON THE SIDE OF EACH HANDSET! It comes with an additional cordless handset which is the same as the previous model as far as I can tell. However, it has an easy-to-use ringer switch on the side of the phone, so I gave this pathetic phone to my neighbor and am very pleased with the other phone where I can switch the ringer on and off with ease. This phone doesn't have that feature. I can't believe Panasonic left it out.

One of the base units has a handset if you prefer the feeling of holding a "real" phone in your hand. The two cordless units have small bases that plug into an electrical outlet. Plugging the base unit into an outlet on my desk, and the other two in the bedroom and kitchen, makes sense to me. If either of our mobile phones rings, they all ring at the same time and we can answer it on which ever we choose (either #1 or #2 flashes depending on which one In case you wish to take your cell phone and the call out with you, it is easy to transfer the call back to your cell phone. This is a great feature! I love that the base unit reads caller ID out loud! Before I even walk over to the phone to check who it is (if I don't have the cell phone with me), the caller ID is read out. Due to the ease of getting voice mail directly on my cell phone, I don't use the answering machine on the phone. In addition to using the speaker phone often while I am at my desk, it works well. So far, no one on the other end has complained! I was able to easily search for my cell phone in my directory Hence, this will not require you to enter all of I chose these phones because they meet all of my needs.
