4. To search the block list for a specific entry, press CID.br>5. MUTE/DELETE as soon as the desired entry appears. Delete entry? is displayed on the screen.

Yes, you simply pressed the screen block button twice, and the phone, aside from the manual, goes through a verbal process once plugged in. You can also use the phone itself to access all features. You don't need to work anything off the base once you've set up voicemail, play messages, call blocking, and the phone book, which are all on the handset 1 or 2. The only negative aspect of this phone is that it beeps incessantly until you press the answer message button. It's to inform you that they've arrived. If your screening phone rings and you choose not to answer, it will beep until you press the button.

I really wanted to like this phone, but some of its flaws irritate me greatly. I don't mind phones with "too much" capability because I'm a bit of a techie, but this phone is software overkill. Let's start with the feature that drew me to this phone in the first place: call blocking. Although it has the ability to block 1,000 phone numbers, there is a lengthy flowchart to follow in order to do so. You can program it to say things like "If you're a friend, family, or an invited caller, please state your name and press the pound key," which will allow you to screen the caller before picking up the phone. You can also have the phone say something like, "This call is being blocked by Call Smart Blocker, please hang up. " None of those options appeal to me at all. When a blocked call comes in, I also bought a Panasonic phone with Call Block, which simply disconnects the phone line. Sweet! The line is simply disconnected without saying anything, and the blocked caller receives a dial tone again. Thank you, Panasonic, for making the process as painless as possible. Yes, the Panasonic phone will only block 250 callers rather than 1,000, but how many different telemarketers are you getting calls from anyway? Next, whenever I miss a phone call, the phone displays on the LCD screen that I have voicemail (answering machine) waiting for me, even if no one leaves a message (for example, if the person calling simply hangs up without leaving a message). There is a way to prevent the screen from displaying that there is a New Voicemail waiting (even if there isn't), but you must do so after each missed call and with each handset (I added an extra one for a total of three). Also, even if I haven't received any phone calls or voice messages, the phone screen will display "New Voicemail" even if I haven't received any. Huh? It's as if the phone has its own personality and does irrational things. br>br>Another thing that irritates me is the red LED light in the phone's upper left corner. When you place the phone in the cradle, it flashes red to indicate that it is charging, but this never changes once the phone is fully charged. You'd think that next to the red light, there would be a blue (or white) light indicating that the phone is fully charged. but, no. . It simply does not change color. So, if I put the phone in the cradle, I'd expect it to charge, so what's the point of the red light? br>br>I'm giving it three stars because it's a solid phone (metal and plastic) that isn't as light as most other plastic-based phones. y phones out there, it can stand upright, and I believe the voice reception is loud and clear enough to be useful; however, I'm torn between keeping this phone and returning it. Programming and using it is extremely inconvenient and aggravating. Maybe it's a defect, but I'm not interested in exchanging it if the replacement is the same. It's just not worth it.
0 cordless phone with a blocker that can be expanded. The best cordless phone I could find was this one with the Smart Blocker. I've received more scam or marketing calls in the last year than personal calls. In a week, 20 scam calls and 4 personal calls were becoming the norm. After the AT has been installed, All of our calls are screened using a T cordless phone with a smart block. Only calls that should or want to reach me are allowed to do so. The remaining calls are screened without even ringing the phone. I'm not sure if the phone is turned on at times. It is, of course. In addition, many reviews claim that setting up the phone was difficult. I wasn't that difficult to use compared to any other cordless phone with an answering system, which this phone also has. I can't get enough of how fantastic this phone is.
AT is one of my favorites. T phones. It's something I bought for my elderly father, and he absolutely adores it. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with the way it was shipped. Normally, Amazon packages items in their own box or envelope. This time, things are different. They merely applied a label to the AT. The phone was delivered to the T phone box, and it was dispatched. Anyone could have seen that and taken the box, giving themselves a free phone, leaving my elderly father without a phone for several more days. A tube of lipstick will be placed in a box that is ten times larger than it needs to be, but what about this phone? No way, just slap a label on the display box and mail it.
We used to get about 20 telemarketers per day on average, but we haven't received any since we installed this phone. I was hesitant to buy it because others had complained about how difficult it was to install and navigate the menus, but I found it to be very simple. We had it up and running in under 10 minutes, and we didn't even bother to follow the instructions for setting up the call blocking preferences. I found the menu to be very user-friendly, and it also has a push-to-talk (PTT) button on the top right of the handset, which allows you to easily communicate between the two handsets (similar to an intercom function). For screening incoming calls, this phone is fantastic. I've been inundated with spam, automated phone calls, and companies attempting to sell health insurance to me. 20 a day is about right. I bought this phone in the hopes of being able to screen these calls, and it works well. The caller must identify themselves before the phone will ring. The phone will not ring if the caller does not identify themselves. This phone has saved me numerous trips to the phone, where I would have been annoyed by an incoming unsolicited caller. It's a little difficult to figure out how to set the options because there are several answering options if you don't want your calls screened. I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to others, as few people still use landlines and instead rely on their cellphones. A land line, on the other hand, is required for me.
Dec. 6th, T CL83207 In April 2018, I purchased a 0 Cordless Phone with 2 Handsets and Smart Call Blocker, and I immediately fell in love with it. But, for the past week, something has gone wrong, and I've been unable to review my Block list, with the message "Not available at this time. " Has this happened to any other buyers? If that's the case, how did you solve it? Everything else on this phone is fine, and I appreciate any help you can provide.
When it comes to blocking unwanted calls, you have a lot of options. This device has proven to be extremely effective, and it was relatively simple to set up (most of us can ignore the more advanced features, such as intercom function variations). It allows callers through if they are in your directory, but each one must be entered separately, and it only stores 50 - 100 entries. It does not download your cell phone contact list like some other devices, but unlike these, the outgoing message to those who are not on your lists is quite clear. The basic functions of the wireless phone are excellent. The purchase was satisfactory to me.
It effectively blocks robocalls as well as political, charity, and other solicitations on my phone. The phone does not ring unless it is a call from someone I know or a regular potential friend.
