In a small conference room, I'm using it for Microsoft Teams meetings. It's working fine, but I wish I'd realized it didn't come with a battery. Until the battery arrives, we'll have to rely on the power adapter and a long extension cord. The VTech store sells the battery for $16, which isn't available on Amazon or anywhere else. 49 plus tax and shipping (it's a little inconvenient that the phone is free but I have to pay $4. The battery will set you back $99 plus shipping. But, once it's truly wireless, it'll be perfect for us. It was significantly less expensive than the previous "landline" conference phone that we are replacing, but it offers comparable sound and voice pickup.

I have to agree with Purna, one of the reviewers: The sound quality of the speakers is excellent, but the microphone is useless. (Did he reply to me? )br>br>There are two microphones, one in the front and the other in the back. There are no frequencies above, I believe, 2KHz in the front, which is very dim. The rear one has a lot of volume (7KHz?). ) but kept to themselves. Furthermore, the front one has a gate, but the back one does not, which is strange. br>I suppose instead of using complex DSP to blend the sound from two mics, they had to equalize them differently, reduce the gain, and gate the front mic. The end result is practically useless for any teleconference. Two cardioid microphones should form a circular pattern when used together. Instead, the pattern is more like an 8, with dead zones on the sides, with more directivity and noticeably quieter zones on the sides. There are no two locations in the vicinity of this device that pick up sound equally well. The front is dark, muffled, and bassy, while the back is bright and tinny. The only usable mic sound is when speaking 1 foot from the back. br>Power line hum is picked up by the rear mic, and the closer your hand is to it, the more hum it picks up. Is it true that there is no shielding? Toggling mute picks up the confirmation beep and an odd interruption of it, which is audible to people on the other end. br>br>If you just need a speaker, this thing is great; the speaker sound is really good. It's almost musically acceptable. br>br>One last point: This thing dwarfs Polycom in terms of size, height, and weight. The first image shows the dongle next to the device, which gives the impression that it will be fairly compact; however, the second image shows a more accurate proportion of the device's dimensions to the USB dongle. On any desk, it appears to be heavy, as if it were capital equipment. I thought it was a good size for a computer desk because it was smaller. The cable for the power adapter is about 15 feet long.

This is more of a speaker and microphone that can connect wirelessly via their DECT 6 dongle than a speaker phone. The unit is well-made and sturdy, and it stays in place. During use, you have the option to turn off the sound. On the other end of the line, I am reported to be clear and understandable. The unit can also be used as computer speakers, and it sounds quite good. Although there is a battery option, I was unable to locate the battery online; however, if the power goes out, your PC and/or internet will as well, so it is a moot point. Overall, I am pleased with the unit, and it performs admirably for the price.

Make it easier for everyone to participate in remote training and socially distant meetings. It's easy to set up and use this device. With 12 socially distant participants in a 20x40-foot area, the microphone worked well throughout the meeting space. The volume is good, and the mute control is easy to use. With the dongle connected to the laptop, there were fewer cables to deal with, which is always a plus. The speakerphone worked perfectly at a distance of about ten feet from the laptop.

This was purchased for our resident lounge, where we hold meetings. I've had problems in the past with multiple people zooming at the same time and getting noise feedback. This allows for a single microphone and speaker to be used throughout the room. The touch-to-talk microphone is very effective. It's a little confusing at first because the "on" button is the talk button without any other label, but it's easy enough after that. Overall, a good value for money product!.
