Regrettably, there is no custom interface. If you're looking for something with a similar form factor, I'd recommend Jabra.

Is it possible to connect this to a laptop via USB-C?

No, the Rally Pod connects to the Rally system via a proprietary connection. If you're looking for a tabletop microphone, check out the Jabra line; they should work with a USB-connected computer. A to USB- Adapter with the letter C I have an older model that works well and is plug-and-play.

The use of proprietary peripherals is a huge letdown. You must purchase with hub or already have the hub, which is not mentioned in the majority of the descriptions on this site.
