My unit had audio dropouts and Teams mute synch failures, but the sound quality was excellent

This speakerphone had excellent sound clarity, and it was probably the best of the several $100 speakerphones I tested. br>br>Unfortunately, I had frequent inbound audio dropouts while using MS Teams, which rendered the device unusable. An A: A B test with other devices revealed that this was a problem with the Avaya device, which also had a nice feature that backfired: mute sync with Microsoft teams. Teams and the device were both aware of each other, so if I muted on the device, Teams would also show my mic as muted. This was great, except for the times when the device's mute status and Teams' mute status were out of sync. It's inconvenient, but it's not a deal breaker. I returned the device and did not pursue a replacement because of the inbound audio dropouts. If you want the best sonic clarity at this price point, it's worth a try (and a review). This would have been my first choice if it hadn't been for the audio dropouts.

This would be worth it if it was 30% bigger and 30% expensive than your average smartphone, but the should is JUST BARELY BETTER than your average smartphone. Returned.

I use it with my MacBook via USB for daily conference calls and weekly family video dinners using a variety of video solutions (Zoom, RingCentral, Spaces, FaceTime, Teams). ), and it's fantastic. At the same time, I pair it with my iPhone via Bluetooth and use it as a speaker phone, seamlessly switching between my MacBook and iPhone. The sound quality is excellent for such a small space, and no one complains about not being able to hear me. During the holidays, I'll be traveling and working from hotels, so the included soft case will come in handy. It's an excellent mode of transportation via cable. This will be a fantastic addition to my WFH collection. Setup on the go!.
