I agree, and it is very easy, but the only thing that I don't know how to do is to lower the volume when a call comes

Do I have to use this even if my current phone has an answering machine already?

The answer will be the same as the voice on the answering machine as long as you disable it

If you can silence the volume completely (mute it), could you please do so? My sleeping situation is so unpleasant that I would like to not hear it at all. Thanks a lot! ?

In a way, yes, you can mute the speaker by turning the volume down all the way. does not turn off the ringer on the phone. If you want to do that separately, you must do it

Unfortunately, there is no way to silence A message that comes in cannot be muted

The message will still be heard even if you turn the volume to zero. According to my understanding, the only way to quiet the machine is to wait for it to turn off, but then it won't record messages anymore.
