Questions & Answers

Please let me know what the exact width of the scanner bed is. Twelve inch vinyl record covers I have are 12 inches across. A 5 is. ?

It cut off about 1/4 inch from the cover of an album I just scanned. That means that we are at The width of the frame is 25 inches.

Would it be possible to scan a 3"x3" photo and enlarge it to a 36"x36" poster at 300 dpi. ?

In most cases, if you blow it up that much, it will get pixelated or blurry if your original photo isn't sharp enough. This scanner does not have a problem with physics, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Would it be possible to scan a 3"x3" photo and enlarge it to a 36"x36" poster at 300 dpi. ?

There is a limit of 600 dots per inch for scanning. It is possible to scan at a higher speed, but the software just chops up the pixels into smaller and smaller chunks. There is a 600dpi optical resolution in this printer. If a 3" x 3" scan is done at 600 dpi, that is 1800 x 1800 pixels. If the poster is 36" x 36", then it is 10800x10800 pixels at 300 in order to scan this photo, you will need a scanner that features an optical resolution of at least 3,600 dpi. Having a large format scanner like this one is one of the advantages of it. In fact, it does not have very good resolution, it is slow, and the Mac software is difficult to use. For better results, use a scanner that can handle 3600 dots per inch, such as an Epson or Canon.

Is your software or Windows 7 Home Edition having issues?

I did not encounter any problems on Windows With Windows 8, I have downloaded a new driver for the scanner from the Plustek website and it is working fine.

This scanner scans very well (used for watercolor art and ink drawings)
5/5

I am thrilled with the quality of this affordable large-sized television so far An image scanner can scan any format. Paint watercolor paintings (usually botanicals with shade and color details) as well as illustrate using markers (like Copics for manga and other types of illustrations) in black and white and colored. The paintings and illustrations I needed to scan 12"x12" needed to be scanned on a scanner large enough. Although there were other negative reviews about the scanner, I decided I would give it a try since it is the only one I am capable of affording.

After installing the software I was able to easily tailor the buttons on the device to fit my To describe my adjustments, I made sure that the type of file and where it lives were adjusted On my computer, I was able to drop new files into a folder named "Art Scans" by selecting the "Custom 2" button and adjusting the location on the button for my ink drawings. After doing a test scan on my watercolor painting, the first scan turned out to be out of focus The situation is far worse than it should be There are too many bright whites and too few details in pale skin There was a lot of color detailing on the painting, so I used the button customizer (DocAction) again and lowered the brightness and Next scan was even more beautiful and perfect than my previous ones (small-sized This is the best format) Canon and Epson As a result, I would encourage you to take the time to change the specific scan settings on the Buttons, especially the default Contrast and Brightness settings, if your scans do not appear as you expect. In fact, I am a little bit My scanner is working perfectly right now - I'm super happy A high-quality high-resolution image has never been provided to me in this way before I have scanned my watercolors before, and I was proud of the end result, but I found it difficult to scan yours so finely I was looking for a scanner that was not damaged- Here's the link I am very happy to be able to buy through the bank. We're also going to have a very convenient workflow with this system The USB cable must be connected, then one of my pre-programmed buttons should be pushed I set the buttons according to the type of scan I'm doing, and my scans appear perfectly in my designated laptop folder. As I just received the scanner last week, I cannot comment on its durability or longevity, but I am using it regularly and delicately, and I hope to attain maximum convenience and longevity from it in.

This was the perfect solution for this purpose
5/5

In order to convert my 12 inch x 12 inch scrapbooks into digital files, I purchased this scanner. As far as the task is concerned, it is perfect. The quality of the scans is excellent, enabling me to remove a step in my scanning process. The only problem would be finding a scanner that would accommodate that size original.

Most scanners that will do that would be much more expensive. The original plan was to scan the scrapbook pages and then remove individual pictures so that they could be scanned. With a 600 dpi resolution, it is possible to scan a large page and then crop it to print out just one picture at any time. It is a task that I have done several times and am satisfied with the results. It took me a few days to get started with Plustek, but the tech support was excellent. As they explained to me what I wanted to do they even helped me set up shortcuts for me to do it more quickly. If you decide to use a longer cord to connect the scanner to the computer, you might want to consider that option. This scanner is large, and it would be impractical to keep it right next to your computer unless you have an extremely large workspace. My scanner is on a file that is easily accessible but not in the way when I am not using it. It comes with an extended cord of 15 feet, which I found to be more than enough.

It's just a matter of being I was quite pleasantly surprised by the scanner since a device that scans oversized sheets is expected to be impressive
4/5

In the beginning, I customized the software to run on a laptop with Windows 10 operating system. I tried it for three days and it worked fine however, it stopped working for no apparent reason after that. Even if I did everything I could The reinstallation of the software after uninstalling what is already in use I tried everything, but nothing worked. The program seemed to have failed to load, which was frustrating since I was working on a time-sensitive project. I sent an email to the customer service department hoping they would call me back, but since it was a Friday, I guess I was being It cost over $600 Canadian, so this was by no means an inexpensive purchase. Fortunately, I had another small computer with me that was running Windows 7 so, as a last resort, before packing up and going home, I decided to download the scanner software from Plustek's website, install it on my computer, and then see if the difference made The laptop I was using did not have a CD player, so the CD that came with the scanner couldn't be used. Neither an external CD player nor a portable CD player were By using the downloaded file, we were able to successfully install and all systems were back up and running. It is unknown whether or not this was a failure of the laptop or the Win 10 OS, or if the scanner worked better with an older operating system, although it should work both with Windows XP and The scanner, at the end of the day, carried on doing what it was supposed to do. One button scan was quick and quick, and the scan quality was good. I liked the one button action for the scan. The purchase price of the Opticpro A320 was competitive compared to other similar large bed scanners I reviewed before making my decision.

Do you have any plans to update the software for this scanner? The year 1996 is not relevant at the moment
3/5

There was a need for scanning a document taller than 8x14, so I thought this would be a great While I could be harsh, I want everyone to know what exactly the problem is that I ran into. First and foremost, the scanner works just as advertised and was easy to set up. There have been no dramas. However, my main issue is mostly with the software (on Windows), which is extremely outdated and probably has not been updated for a long time. Also, the resolution is 96 DPI, and I am not able to find any control that will increase it to 1600 DPI. While this is probably my fault since I'm an experienced computer and scanner user, I wonder, who put the control away? If
1 was stated here, I would give it a higher rating. Software was an integrated package and features such as Scan to PDF or JPEG were easy to use2. The controls for the scanner resolution and other functions were clearly labeled, and they were easy to use.

I would say that for this price, nothing can beat it. In reality, the software does more harm than good to the hardware.
