Questions & Answers

In what way does scanning software work? What kind of drivers does it have for TWIA and ISIS?

The question is a good one. Having spent about six hours on my part, here are my two cents. 1) The scanner works fine, and it is super fast. 2) It can scan wirelessly only to the ScanSnap manager, which shows the scan on its display. 2) No scans can be imported directly between PDF Expert, PDF Studio Pro, and ABBYY fine scan programs. As Adobe began asking for a monthly fee for the program I purchased and shut down the Acrobat program I used, I decided to use another program instead. It is my hope that this helped.

Are you able to work with Evernote with this scanner?

As a result, the document now moves to Fujitsu cloud, which then passes it along to Evernote, which usually happens

The only option I have is to use an iPad. How would you do without one?

In fact, yes. With this scanner, you can scan directly to the device or to the cloud, either through your router or directly to your iPad.

Compared with IX500, regressions are apparent
4/5

Based on the current firmware, it wasn't a good idea to upgrade my workhorse IX500. In spite of the IX1500 being much easier to configure than the IX500, it's still much slower than the IX500. The day is not as easy as it used to be The old one-button scans have been replaced by two-button scans Documents are scanned with a button (you need to press "OK" to acknowledge that they have been saved)(2) A single scan Click the button It is long-lasting Historically, long document (press) scans have been done on six-frame scanners You can scan buttons by It makes you wonder why the IX1500 firmware was designed by a different team since they still work, but you have to change scan mode to manual, scan, acknowledge, then change back
It makes you wonder who designed the IX1500 software. Based on the hardware, I believe it has the potential to be an excellent scanner. There are, however, several problems with the firmware that need to be corrected The following three suggestions you can implement (1) Remove the annoying delays and acknowledgements (2) Buffer stuff and retransmit when a destination is available (I'd be happy to put it on a UPS) (3) Introduce a single-user system Documents may be scanned by an array of buttons. (4) Pay for the Paperport patent and instate scanning buttons. In the event that any of this feature is introduced, it will be given one star.

Had I stayed with my IX500, I would have saved money
3/5

I was dissatisfied with it when I first received As a first impression, this thing is ugly and out of date. In addition, IX1500 is a inferior product in terms of construction to I am less impressed with this because it feels cheap and plasticy, as opposed to the 500. It is also really lame that there are new features. All the new touchscreen offers is an additional component that is prone to failure and will be costly to replace in the future. In fact, the ScanSnap software works great on its own, and the touchscreen does little to improve it Lastly, it's a waste of money to buy a 1500 with such a lousy output tray. Despite its small size, the output tray of the 500 is I think it's only a matter of time before the fragile tray of the 1500 breaks. far as the input tray is concerned, it, too, is a This is similar to the output tray, where a solid, well designed product was replaced with something flimsy and cheap. It is a real shame that the 1500 is not an improvement over the 500, since it leaves me scratching my head and wondering who is responsible for this business unit now if he or she is cost cutting, color blind, and visually challenged.

There is definitely no upgrade to the ix500 here
4/5

That's a real I can see that it was written by another team of programmers, as another user noted. My experience is that it has a lot more complications and isn't as intuitive A friendly person. In addition, I did not find anywhere where I could quickly attach a scanned document to It provides me with the opportunity to quickly email documents to others by email, which is one of the most important features of owning one of these. This procedure used to be done with fax machines, but who today has a fax machine? The second reason I would not recommend this to current ix500 users is that it requires a great deal of time and effort to import your old pdf documents. took more than 24 hours to process, as it was not an easy process. As a matter of fact, this is still processing in my case. As far as I know, the new software will recognize my old ScanSnap files instantly. In fact, it's not true. According to the article, one must be done To process the documents, one must do so. Make sure you allow yourself half a day so you can get this thing up to speed before putting it into production. Once that is done, you will discover that the software appears to dumb it down It will bring you down from your previous way of life. The ix500 upgrade you most likely were expecting is not here, as another poster has also made comments. This is what I thought was the case and was very disappointed about it. My hope is that I will be able to accomplish.
