Questions & Answers

Do I have to buy a Mac in order to use this scanner?

The scanner can be used with a Mac, but not any of the software included or bundled with it. If you have a Mac and a Fujitsu scanner (hardware only), please consider using dockeep pro.

Are you able to access the machine ?

We cannot connect this machine to the internet via wireless. Please accept my sincere thanks

What kind of cables and cords does it come with?

In short, yes. There is a USB 3 port on the device. It is not possible to use a cord. As a result, all the data is transferred through the cord quickly because of the high speed scanner. Type 3 USB was introduced in 2009. A USB 0 device can be backwards compatible with a If you don't have a USB 3.0 port, you should set the initialization to 0. The computer you are using has a 0 port.

Does the software have the option to prompt the user for the filename after each scan, rather than a naming convention by default?

There are four different software command buttons on my software There is a black and a white A simple scan consists of a white, a color, and an auto color. When I scan with my color button, it automatically saves to the "public documents" folder on In order to make it easier for me, I placed a link on my desktop for the folder,, then copied and pasted it to the final destination, renaming it from an automatic name Name that I give it is generated. In addition, I delete the auto-generated To make sure there is no confusion and to save memory, batch files will be named from software afterward. There's one button I can't seem to find on my righthand side. A simple scan or something, at the end of each scan you have to manually select the location and file name.

Selected User Reviews For Fujitsu fi-7160 Professional Desktop Color Duplex Document Scanner with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

The product is of excellent quality, however it is in a grey market
3/5

Fujitsu is one of the world's biggest tech companies There is no doubt that the 7160 scanner is a great When I tried to register it directly with Fujitsu, however, I discovered the serial number indicated that it was grey market, which is a legal market, but if the device breaks within the warranty period, Fujitsu is not responsible for repairs or replacement. As far as I understand, grey market items have to be shipped back to the country of import for repairs, which would overly complicate the process for most expensive or On the Amazon site, I was not able to find any indication that this was a grey market item. A bold indication should be made of something like that! If you're planning to purchase an expensive item, ask Amazon or their vendors if the item is grey market (especially if it is a big ticket item), since that information is not freely disclosed, unless it's buried somewhere deep in the fine print.

Be aware that this is a gray market product
4/5

I would give a five star rating, if there were not Several others have commented that this product is called a "grey market" product, and this is why it My first impression of the hardware is a big thumbs up. Despite its good features, I wasn't a fan of the Paper Stream software. There were a lot of confusing details and I was confused. My final choice was the ScanSnap Manager for fi Series, which is incredibly straightforward and easy to install. However, there is a problem The software was no longer found by the scanner after a few days. Whenever I tried to use the Windows scanning software, my MFP software, or my PDF software, it kept trying to take me there. It took my IT guy a couple of days to get it to work, but then I lost it again a couple of days later. He spent more than two hours on the issue, but he couldn't solve it. When I called Fujitsu Technical Support (800) 626-1999, they were very helpful We gave her the serial number of 4686 and discovered that it is not an original. It is unfair for serial numbers and scanners to be sold in the United States. The details are not clear). As a result, any warranty will not likely be honored in the event of a hardware issue. In contrast, it took less than ten minutes for the person I spoke with to log into my computer and make the changes I needed, so I am back online. I was given a case number and told that if the same software problem arises again, I need only call, give them the case number, and it won't cost me a penny. In the case of a broken scanner, the problem arises. Overall, we give it five stars for the product and one star for misleading.

Macs are well suited for this program
5/5

The scanner is a solid device for scanning single volumes I use my desk for work. The legal use of this program is recommended with Macs. The cost of driver software must be borne by you. * A highly effective strategy There is a paperless court in my locality that has a large volume of filings There is only one (Fulton County Superior Court), which uses this specific scanner, the F1-D A manifest for lawyers and laypeople who need to file documents in person with the court clerk can be obtained from the court clerk at 7160. Electronic delivery of court documents is mandatory for federal and bankruptcy courts A filing system- E-filing is the only method and most state courts have moved to it here in Georgia A majority of them are filed In those days, you had to rush to court in order to beat the statute (or the filing deadline, and paying for The last ones) I have a mac OS High Sierra 10 laptop and am running macOS High Sierra 10. I am a tech idiot (or not too far off), but I was able to take a photo of the court's scanner and buy it for my office. The free version is ExactScan Pro, but good advice told me to download it for $79 instead. Apps are available at a discounted price of 99 cents. These software programs are not available on Amazon. Using the software, I had the scanner up and running in about three minutes. The scan can be performed using a mouse. It can also be done with the rubber button on the scanner itself or by clicking on the screen. Approximately $850 would be required. It's not cheap to pay $800, plus the software for a Mac. In terms of productivity, I plan to make it up.

A scanner that is among the best in the industry
5/5

Anywhere I am able to find clients that will pay me for them, I install them. The paperstream scanners produce great scan quality, and the software and drivers that come with them are excellent. These drivers are used to create multiple scan profiles, including the ability to automatically detect the size of each piece of paper and skip blank pages as well as scan in multiple copies of a single document. My users usually are able to do all of this just by touching the scan button on the front of their scanners. It has been said to me a hundred times that this makes office life so much easier than other solutions they were previously using.

The company PandaDragon sells parts with European part numbers
3/5

Please use caution TLDR The one I purchased from PandaDragon in December 2019 also referred to European Part Numbers. I received the following information from Fujitsu US chat 'The scanner was sold by Fujitsu's European division. It is therefore likely that this scanner will be sold in Europe as well. This scanner will be sold to Fujitsu Europe instead of Fujitsu US Division, and all profits will go to Fujitsu Europe. It also means that any warranty repairs needed should be addressed by Fujitsu Europe Division since they got paid. If a US customer bought this scanner from the US, it appears that the seller made an error by supplying the wrong model. It has been done by Amazon before, and the item can be exchanged through This part number is part of the European standard This is PA03670 Part number in the US This is PA03670 The B055 code. If you want to buy this part on Amazon, please search for the part number there.

Image scans are blurry in PaperStream, although the program itself is great
3/5

These are both what I got. It took me some time to realize that Fujitsu scans were a little out of focus, akin to an out of focus image produced by a camera lens. Using VueScan software, I was able to eliminate differences between both scanners and, yes, Fujitsu consistently produced images that were out of focus, whereas Epson produced images that were fairly sharp. There was disappointment on my part. It is possible that Fujitsu can be calibrated, but I haven't found any information on how to do it. Unless I can get Fujitsu to perform at least as well as Epson, I'd expect Fujitsu to return, and Epson to stay.
