Product Description

This USB Optical Card Scanner automatically reads driver licenses and can scan them on both sides. Compact footprint allows for minimal desk space usage.

A scan-ID (Full Version) app manages a database of card information, as well as scanning cards and scanning them. The reader is designed to read driving licenses ONLY other cards and identification must be entered manually.

The age verification process is automated, and the minimum age is flagged accordingly. It reads data from most state licenses that have a 2D barcode. It is suitable for USA & Canadian drivers.

The scan is directly sent to PDF, JPEG or TIF.

This software is only compatible with Windows systems - it is not Mac-compatible. One side of the card is scanned at a time. Max input card size 4 in x 9 in Fast scan in 2 seconds.

No, you don't need an internet connection to use it.

A driver license can only be read by it if it is in the US and Canada. It is able to scan any ID card and store a digital image.

My state's ID does not appear to be able to detect the holograph information that is on a valid hologram. The problem is that... The PC must be running Windows 10 for this program to work

It will not work with Windows 10, as there is no driver and no PDF scanning capabilities. It is also impossible to calibrate in Windows 10 because the function is not functional. I wouldn't recommend it.

For our office, we were looking for an alternative to a visitor system that cost between $1200 and $7000 with a large It works well, comes with the full version of ID scan (which I highly recommend), and only costs $20. Then, once you have installed the software and plugged it in (if it came with an alignment card), all you need to do is align it. It is now ready to be scanned. It automatically feeds an ID and asks you to flip it over once you open up the software and place an ID in the scanner. By default, it copies both sides of the ID into the database fields and imports all of the information on the ID into the field on the ID! I like how much money I get for it.

No problems scanning, but the scanner did not appear to be able to decode the barcode info for SC driver's The customer service department was provided copies of the licenses that could not be read, and the customer service department contacted the company

A software update has been provided by their developers. As of now, everything works fine. A simple and inexpensive tool that generates the relevant ID information into a data file. I then export the file to a CSV file and use Excel to further analyze the data. The scanned card is also saved in JPG format.

By using it, I was able to scan my drivers license and save the information in the included software, and then move it to another The $1000 plus scanner I have could not handle that task. For someone like me without a lot of technical know-how, it's important to have something that is simple to install and operate. This little gem perfectly You should definitely give it a shot.

It is easy to install the driver and to use it

When we use this for people who recover towed vehicles, it is much better than the old flatbed scanner/copier, as well as decreasing the amount of paper floating around the dispatch office. It is much less likely that we will forget to give the customer their ID back as well. This product is excellent. It has an excellent price and we recommend it highly!.
