This is amazing. After waiting so long to purchase this shredder, I am shocked I didn't buy it sooner. Our old shredder continued to serve us fine, but I accidentally damaged it by overloading it one too many times. I tried many treatments, prescriptions, and anecdotes to treat it due to the emotional attachment I had for it for the last year. After having been without a working shredder for a long time, I began searching for one online. I understand, but how can you replace someone who was an integral part of the family all his life and his only shortcomings were due to age and abuse? But I managed to endure the enormous task of going over each of the hundreds of shredders on the list, looking at their various attributes and shortcomings, as well as reading dozens It took me a long time to give up. We have finally managed to get our shredder to work after purchasing some lubricant sheets in an effort to make it work again. We were disappointed that these weren't the miracle drugs our shredder was looking for, although they did seem to boost her performance a bit. We're too late, too little. In the midst of regret, full of guilt over not being able to maintain my shredder, I took a leap of faith and ordered the Aurora 1410MA. While in reality, her buttons and controls are so intuitive and easy to use that our cat could do the shredding for us if necessary. As she sat in her shiny new glory in the middle of our guest room, waiting to devour the mountain of personal information we always need destroyed, she seemed to be enthralled by the whole thing. The weeks went by, and I would sneak piles of credit card offers and random papers into the guest room for shredding, all the while feeding a sheet or two to the old shredder every now and again. We never had to worry about Aurora being heard by our old shredder because she is so quiet. One day, so to speak, the final test happened. It has arrived by mail! A new credit card has arrived! With the new card activated and the old card inactive, I knew it was time for the new card to be activated. When I stood in front of Aurora, I introduced the dead credit card to her. As we did not have a shredder that could do a card shredding before, this was a new experience for us, and I was curious to try It was hard to ignore the heartbreaking growl of our old shredder with overloaded blades. It was just a matter of going As soon as I dropped that dead card into the slot. I am in awe! Aurora took a minute to chew and swallow it. It wasn't hard or painful, she just swallowed it. There was no doubt in my mind it was a lip-licker. Aurora was going to stay with the family. We were pleased to find out she met all our expectations as well as exceeded many of them. It was a good thing she kept her promise. My embrace turned into a hug for her as I headed upstairs to the office to retrieve My passengers and I cooed at her as we loaded her in the car, complimenting her on all the years of hard work and service that she had accumulated. We talked about the thousands upon thousands of shreds she had made throughout the years as we drove to the recycling plant. I spoke of all the good she had done and how grateful we were to have had her one last time. Then, with a lump in my throat, I gave her a soft little pat and said my farewell as I stepped out of the car and headed I am saying goodbye to you, RIP, my friend. As I rolled Aurora into her new spot in the office, Aurora was obviously recognizing the deep sadness in me, because once she started eating the pile of papers that had grown over the past couple of weeks, she shredded it all down, purring constantly all the while. Within minutes, it was full and I was amazed at how easily it could be removed. My first experience with it was flawless and the contents of the container were shredded more efficiently than I had expected. Her emptied bin was placed back in place by me. I smiled as I patted her gently. Aurora's acceptance of herself is complete and has begun the healing process. The love we have for her is unconditional. Despite her listing, she does all that was stated, and her quiet strength has been pleasantly surprising to us. It was too late for me to find out. A shredder like this is what I bought This week is the first time I've opened a box or packing. Plugging the unit in does not allow the unit to work. A panel light indicates that the door is open. As I searched, I did not find any broken pieces. Every thing has been replaced and I get the same result. There is no chance of getting a return or refund. The $135 bucks were thrown away.

I had no idea it would be so good! This product is a great value since you get all the features Had I been able to simulate Fellows's model, I would have spent more money. There is a lot of weight to this, and it is make it easy to move around and have not broken off or caused me any problems. I am very pleased with the product. I was pleased to see that the Prime program actually worked on the get it next day item. There are two of him. It seemed like a no-brainer to me that with this machine I would be able to cut through old financial records in a breeze, especially considering that this thing cost more than a saw! Over time, the pace slowed down and it became warmer. As much as I want this thing to work, I'm going to return it when it doesn't tomorrow. A decent one with a pullout drawer, not too loud, but it does have a light clanging. As long as I feed it a few papers at a time, it does seem to be working.

As I had never purchased anything from Aurora before, I began to be a little hesitant of making the purchase. It is quiet for a shredder, and I am more than satisfied with it so far. I feel like my old Fellows one was a dinosaur afterwards. As far as I can tell, it works without dragging on the unit, and I had a chance to test it on a few occasions. Considering that I shred things weekly, my shredder should be more than capable of getting the job done. The fact that it is smaller than my old one is fine. What makes it better is that it has wheels so that I can roll it if necessary.

In the short time since it has been in use, the unit has worked fine. It doesn't make a lot of noise and is easy to empty. Only the cheap jam remover switch on top of the unit is a flaw. Whenever you turn the switch from OFF to AUTO or REVERSE, it feels like you are playing with your three-year-old grandkids' cheap $10 toy that won't last for more than a It should not be a problem if I leave the switch set to AUTO all the time. In my opinion, this could have been a five-star product if the switch option had been digital or if the floppy switch hadn't been so weak. In fact, I would not have purchased this if I'd had a chance to see how the switch works.
