This calculator is required for one of my daughter's classes. The first one lasted nearly a year and a half, which is unusual for a Texas Instruments product. My son has a different calculator that he has been using for four years and is still working fine. I purchased the same one she had because she insisted on having it. It worked for a few weeks before abruptly ceasing to function. Her teacher looked at it to see if she could figure it out, but she couldn't. I fiddled with it a bit and reset it a few times, leaving it out in the light to charge it better, and it now works intermittently. I am not going to purchase another.
Since I was a kid, scientific calculators have improved dramatically. I wish I'd had this when I was younger. I keep snatching it away from my child to play with. The screen is solid and the build quality is good. Without a doubt, I would recommend it.
I bought this for my middle schooler, and I'm very impressed with the calculator's functions. So far, my favorites are the ease with which I can enter and work with mixed numbers. fractions fractions fractions fractions fractions fractions fraction It has a Simplify option as well.
This was required reading for my son's mathematics class. He says it's great and does everything he wants it to. This purchase has made me very happy.
This year, it was a requirement in my daughter's math class. She doesn't appear to have any reservations about using it.
Most instructors have one. It's easier to use than a Ti 83/84, and it has a few features that the omg calculators don't.
This came highly recommended by the school, and it's ideal for my sixth-graders' requirements.
