In the 1970s, when I first started drag racing, I purchased one of these. Age took its toll after about 60 years, and it became unusable, necessitating the purchase of a new one. These are the same calculators that were used back in the day, and they're some of the best for "quick and dirty" calculations at the track. The only change I would make is to increase the horsepower range from 1500 to 3000 hp, which would make estimating ET and MPH for higher horsepower cars easier.
I'm sure there are many variables that the tool can't account for, but it gets you close. From there, it's just a matter of fine tuning.
It shows you what kind of performance you should expect from your vehicle to see if it has that much power.
This has been in use for decades. I gave a dozen to family and friends. Quite correct.
I've had the old model for 40 years and it's saved me so much time that I ordered a new one for my son-in-law. I needed a slide rule type calculator after seeing the new information that had been added to it. br>br>Because numbers don't change, it'll never be out of date. This is a MUST HAVE ITEM for anyone who enjoys drag racing or building cars. CHEVELLE SS MR66 MR66 MR66 MR66 MR66 MR66.
I would buy it again. One of the most interesting tools is this one. It is jam-packed with data. It's also very sturdy. This was an excellent purchase. I would buy it again.
This is an excellent resource. Very precise.
GREAT.
