You could get something like this from an inexpensive Texas Instruments, you should save your money.
Has the ability to do just about anything. Reading the calculator's instruction manual helped me learn more than I have in a while. This is a great tool for those of us who don't do these calculations every day and have sight issues as a result of looking up data in a manual. This is a highly recommended book.
It makes me very impressed. The program has many useful formulas and functions, as well as a lot of stored data that can be retrieved quite easily. I find it to be a rather substantial item, with a good case for protection and a full-size foot pedal In my opinion, the only (minor) flaw is that the labels for the secondary functions (above the function keys) are quite small, making it difficult for me to see them. A minor correction to the specs needs to be made. Given that they are likely to last a very long time, it is probably not very important. In fact, I would certainly recommend this to others, and would purchase it again as a gift when the occasion arises.
It does a lot of what the machinist's guide does, so it is a good tool to have. The majority of these things can be calculated in CAM, but CAM is still a very helpful program, but it is a little expensive. It would be an incredible tool for someone who works with manual machines. When you type in u drill it says the dial. When you click on the next size it increases.
Since I am a machinist, I bought this calculator after seeing a coworker use it. A month ago, the program worked great, but pretty soon stopped working. The calculator otherwise offers great functionality for machinists.
There is no other function, it just does what it is supposed to. There is a lot of data stored in it, which impresses me. Because fine print in the book is difficult for me to read, and it fits in my pants pocket, I can carry it with me.
