How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

The design of this Tattoo Concert Uke is inspired by traditional Hawaiian body art.
The tattoos were monochromatic, with black ink on brown skin.
There were many shapes and symbols representing the natural island world in the patterns and layout, which were strongly geometric.
The fret markers are sharks' teeth in a stylized form.
Due to its Concert body and Mahogany construction, it produces a clear, resonant sound that is both beautiful and affordable.
A branded travel bag is included in the package.

Questions & Answers

The dimensions are listed as 27, according to the information provided. 8 x 14 x 2 is the size of this painting. 8in. Isn't a Concert Ukulele around 23' in length, or is this more of a Tenor size Ukulele?

My ukulele is unmistakably a concert model.

Is it the kala or the luna that everyone prefers? and why?

I've been selling both for years, and I believe they're both good quality ukuleles for the money. My most popular import ukulele is the Luna. The quality of these two is very consistent from model to model and batch to batch, which I like. You'll be content with either option. Sincerely, Sincerely, Sincerely, Sincerely, Sincerely, Sincerely, Since

What is the best way to tune these? Do you want to sing in a tenor or soprano voice?

G, C, E, and A should be tuned. GCEA is the tuning for the Saprano, Concert, and Tenor. The Baritone is the only instrument that has a different tuning.

Is there a gig bag or case included with this?

Hello. No, the instrument does not come with a case. There are a variety of cases from Luna and other brands that would work with it that can be purchased separately on Amazon. Thank you for visiting the Y2PLAY Stores! 800- 695- 4808

Its ok
3/5

I've spent my entire life playing the ukulele, as do the majority of Hawaiian children. With this ukulele, I noticed both positive and negative aspects. br>br>The positive aspects are: br>There was no damage to the package when it arrived. br>The ukulele has a lovely look to it, and the tattoo designs are particularly appealing. It'll make a lovely present for a beginner. br> br>The sound is fine, but the strings should be replaced. The disadvantages: br>br> br>Shipping took a little longer than I had anticipated. br>It's also a smaller ukulele than the concert ukulele I usually use. br>Because the body is made of thin wood, you must be careful not to crack it. br>On the edges, you can see some glue. br>The strings aren't great, but they're easy to change. Overall, it's a good buy. br>br>.

EASY TO BREAK
3/5

Let me begin by saying that, flaws and all, when this ukulele is in good working order, it sounds absolutely stunning. This sounds incredible when compared to other ukuleles. It has, however, been plagued by a slew of issues. br>br>First and foremost, the E string was constantly buzzing the first year I had it, and I had to tighten all screws to oblivion to get that awful sound to stop. Secondly; THE NECK IS FRAGMENTING! I take great care of my instruments and handle them with caution. The neck, on the other hand, is breaking off for me, causing the instrument to constantly go out of tune. I'm a college student, so $100 is a significant investment for me; I can't afford to fix the neck or purchase a new ukulele. I was extremely dissatisfied with this purchase and would not recommend it to anyone. I would say yes, it is well worth the money if there were no issues. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

Beautiful instrument with a fantastic sound! The most important aspect of my review is that this is a lovely, well-made ukulele with a full, rich sound
5/5

There's no buzzing on the strings, and the ukulele doesn't make a "plinky" sound. The tattoo design is stunning, and the finish is exquisite. The warm mahogany tones are shown much better in person than they are in photos. My niece has several ukuleles, and this is her favorite; she adores it, so I bought one after reading all of the reviews. If you're thinking about buying this, or any other breakable item from Amazon, make sure you get the extra box! The Luna box they shipped in had a large tear when my mail carrier delivered it to me. Fortunately, the instrument was not harmed. In addition, several reviewers expressed dissatisfaction with the free gift bag that came with the purchase. The gig bag DOES have some padding on the front, back, and around the sides (duh, it's free). I'm getting a new case, but this one is much nicer than the one that came with my first uke, and it has a 7"x9" zipper pocket on the outside, which is large enough for a snack. I could talk about this wonderful instrument for hours, but I'd rather be playing it.

But it's a nice little uke
4/5

Make sure the strings are shortened first; after stretching the strings a little, I used my electronic tuner to set the standard GCEA tune. I knew it would take a few tries for a new uke to settle in, but this one refused to cooperate. I'd re-tune it and stretch the strings again, but it'd never stay in tune. After about a week of tries, I finally loosened the strings from the top pegs and took about 3/4-inch off the top pegs. each one by an inch. This was the only reason I gave it a 3-star rating because it finally removed the slack that prevented any tune from holding together. One star for out-of-the-box sound quality. The tune holds after a few weeks. Nonetheless, I enjoy the style, and the wider frets make it a little easier to play than my soprano. For a beginner, this is an excellent choice.

I bought this Luna for my 16-year-old daughter, who is a talented guitarist and cellist, and she absolutely adores it
5/5

Tattooed mahogany is a beautiful piece. Despite reading negative reviews about tuning slippage and poorly manufactured tuning mechanisms, I purchased this product because of the amazing sound it produces for the price. The tuning mechanisms worked perfectly for me, though tuning slippage was an issue for the first few days until the new strings were properly stretched. Out Luna now stays in tune and only requires minor adjustments from time to time, which is to be expected of any ukulele. For the look and pure sound, this is a great price. It's ideal for beginners, intermediates, and, I'm guessing, professionals. The design has gotten a lot of positive feedback. Luna has quickly become a member of our family, and we wouldn't have it any other way!.

Overpriced despite its low cost of manufacture
3/5

This Ukulele appears to be made in China as well, so I'm not sure why it costs more than other Chinese-made Ukuleles. br>br>Because this model lacks a strap button, if you want to use a strap, you'll either have to drill holes in your new ukulele yourself or use an odd-looking no-drill strap. br>br>Also, this is misleading advertising because some other reviews have to be removed. The strings are not brass, as advertised, but rather nylon.

Instrument that is both fun and serious in appearance
5/5

I bought this ukulele because of the positive reviews, the fact that I liked what the company, Luna, was all about after checking them out, and the fact that this ukulele is just plain cool looking and has that "Island" feel to it. I've been playing guitar for more than 40 years, mostly fingerstyle. I was curious to see what kind of music I could create on this instrument, given my experience with picking and classical style. I'd never played a ukulele before, but I figured a tenor would be a good place to start due to its size and ability to be played in front of an audience. br>br>I was playing songs the first day after tuning it up and googling a chord chart, and I've even written a few since then. I can't sing this instrument's praises highly enough. It's entertaining to play, has a pleasant sound, and costs under $100. There are cheaper options available, and I considered them, but I'm glad I went with this one because it feels like a great entry-level ukulele. Some reviews stated that it does not stay in tune for long periods of time, and I have found this to be true; however, it is possible that the strings have not yet been stretched out. In any case, I don't think you'll be disappointed if you're looking for a uke that not only looks great but also sounds great.
