My rating has been reduced from five to three stars. YES, one of the zipper fobs came off after about two or three uses and never leaving my living room. And I'm one of those guys who takes great care with his equipment. Now I'm either going to have to live without easy zipping or devise my own solution. SKB should be completely embarrassed by this total manufacturing/design FAIL. I thought maybe the other reviewers got lemons or were just overly rough on the bag; I thought a company with any pride would offer its customers an easy fix and, more importantly, stop putting a garbage little piece of rubber on an otherwise quality product; I thought a company with any pride would offer its customers an easy fix and, more importantly, stop putting a garbage little piece of rubber on an otherwise quality product; I thought a company with any pride would offer its customers an easy fix and, more importantly, stop Sir, however, no. They're completely accurate. Again, I treat all of my belongings with care, and the little fob simply popped off (broke) in my hand as easily as a warm knife through half-melted butter. That said, I'll keep it and use it because it's a perfect match for my mixer. It's especially aggravating when you've just paid for a brand-new, name-brand item. Update; br>br> A small bottle opener key ring given away by a vendor at Costco a few years ago provided my free fix. I'm not sure why I let it languish in a drawer for so long, but it proved useful. I'm curious how many more of these they'd sell if they were just a bag with a beer bottle opener instead of a bag with broken zipper pulls. br>br>Aside from that, my initial assessment was as follows: br>For my new Soundcraft Signature 10 Mixer, it was the best size I could find. From top to bottom, it fits like a glove, with a few inches on the side for the power cable and possibly a few other small items. Because the mixer is wedge-shaped, I'm going to use a small towel or a piece of bubble wrap to keep the fader end from flopping around. I'll still handle with care and not act as if my mixer is equipped with high-caliber, road-worthy protection because the fat end is almost snug but not quite. The outer pouch has enough room for a few cables, a microphone, and a DI, among other things. br>br>In the absence of a custom-fit mixer bag or hard case, this is, in my opinion, a pretty good option for the money. br>br>Recently received information; According to product photos on other websites selling this bag, SKB may have solved the problem by using standard zipper pulls. In that case, it's a five-star item in my opinion. br>br>I was not compensated in any way for this review, and I paid full price for the item!
Hondo.
This bag received a one-star rating because it broke the very first time I touched it. The fob broke off as soon as I picked up the bag and tried to use the zipper. I didn't yank it; instead, I gently yanked it. I'll have no choice but to make my own fobs out of wire or something similar. Nothing you should buy should break the first time you use it.
My Behringer Xenyx 1204 mixer fits perfectly in this bag. It fits perfectly, with enough room on the sides for several microphones to be cushioned in their boxes. Four 20-foot mic cables, as well as some small parts, can be stored in the front pocket. Fabric and construction are both extremely durable.
This is where I keep my Mackie DL1608 mixer. The mixer and some related accessories have plenty of room, and the front pocket is large enough to fit an iPad in a case. The padding on the case is adequate, and the shoulder strap is supportive. This is an excellent case for the guy who carries his own gear and takes care of it. I'm not concerned about anything getting damaged in this bag, but I wouldn't trust it to an airport luggage handler if it contained my $1000 mixer and $600 iPad.
Excelente.
I ended up purchasing one from "World Tour" for ten dollars less! Made with more care! SKB has let me down. They have a reputation for producing high-quality work. This, however, is not it!.
With plenty of room, it easily accommodates my Peavey PV 10 BT Mixer.
Exactly what I needed.
