Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone with Auray Universal Shock Mount and Windshield

It satisfies my needs. It's what I use with my Canon Vixia HF G40. The sound quality is excellent, and the visual quality is outstanding. On a professional camcorder, not a mid-range camcorder, you'd want to use a microphone of this caliber. My G40 is a good grade because there are technical reasons for it, but it gets the job done. This is the second one I've bought. The MKE 600 is exactly what you'd expect from a name like that. For any professional shoot, this is the gold standard. On my shoulder rig, along with a lav for scratching, I've used it a lot in the field. When I'm on the move, however, I connect my XLR cable to the zoom h4n pro in my backpack and go! and wow. As a result, it's ideal for use as a run-and-gun mic. It's capable of a lot more than you might think. But it's the interview process that really stands out. I'm getting crisp, clear audio with a lot of natural bass. 12- You can get a good bass tone by placing the microphone 16 inches from the talent's chest. You can tone down the bass by raising it a little higher and focusing it more on the mouth. It can be custom-made to meet your specific requirements. In terms of natural sound, I have an NTG3, but this outperforms it.

I took it out the other day and hooked it up to my Tascam DR-100 recorder. Due to the limited number of microphones, 40x was recorded in Mono. The sound is incredible, almost to the point of being too good, as it picked up car noises from a mile away. To get away from the noise pollution, I'll just have to go deeper into the woods. Anyone looking for audio for filmmaking purposes should definitely check this out.

Phantom power that is powered by a battery is a huge plus. I was pleasantly surprised by this mic as a music producer and videographer. It works well with my Sony A73, but it's especially good for lead vocals and acoustic guitar. My Neumann km small diaphragm performs as well as this one. a fantastic deal.
