Questions & Answers

So, does it include Pro Tools?

br>br>In Pro Tools "lite," you can create an unlimited number of songs, but only 12 tracks at a time.

How do I listen to music on my studio speakers by streaming music from my phone via Bluetooth?

I'm only familiar with PC configurations; I'm not familiar with Apple. If you're trying to play anything through your Focsrite's monitor speakers (including a Bluetooth source), I believe you'll need to open your sound settings (try right-clicking on the sound settings). Select the Focusrite USB device as your output device by clicking the little speaker symbol in the bottom right corner of your Windows 10 screen. That "should" work. However, I've noticed that different applications have different output configurations, so depending on what you're using for playback, you may need to configure individual apps. If that doesn't work, I'd approach the manufacturer with the problem. They appear to be fairly proactive when it comes to informing their customer base about how to use their products.

Is it possible to use four microphones with this device, or only two?

If you don't have an audio interface, this is a must
5/5

TOPS on the volume knob. For those who thought you needed a desktop to get good sound and couldn't get it on a laptop, this is the video for you. If you have 1/8 jacks going to mixers and studio monitors, this is for you. This is for those of you who can't seem to get good sound out of your device. I can't believe I was completely unaware of these for so long. I purchased three different types based on my requirements. This one has the tiniest footprint and the best volume knob we've seen thus far. It's very appealing, and I can't say enough about how much I like it. This is miles ahead of anything you've ever tried with a headphone jack, and it's free of interference from power supplies, chargers, and other things that used to wreak havoc on my audio. It's like that moment when I get to listen to all of my music for the first time because it's so good!.

Although it appears and sounds professional, the output is insufficient for such a low-cost device
4/5

microphones of a certain level Clean appearance, simple USB connection to your DAW or computer mic input, and (as far as I can tell) accurate and clean sound. Zoom meetings and podcasting are two of the things I use it for. There isn't enough gain to boost some condenser microphones without turning the level dial all the way to the highest setting. I didn't test monitor output because I monitor through AudioEngine 2 powered speakers (which are unaffected by the preamp's volume control), so I can't comment on headphone output/latency. This preamp has a hard time pushing good levels out of my MXL studio condenser mic, which may be due to the fact that it is powered by the USB bus. To get a good signal, I need to be right on top of the mic. Depending on the instrument you connect, YMMV; note that turning gain to maximum causes noticeable distortion, so this isn't suitable for all sources. My other condenser microphone is more effective and reliable.

It works fine and has nice preamps, but there is no monitor control software included
4/5

While quarantined, I wanted my son to be able to play his bass and communicate with his bass teacher via Zoom. The line out from a Zoom (different company) HN1 portable recorder is plugged into one of the preamps, and a Shure SM57c is plugged into the other. I've used other Focusrite gear for podcasting and enjoy it, but this one comes with some compromises that I don't like: br>br>1 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov This little unit does not work with Focusrite's monitor control software. It's essential for larger boxes, and I'd like to use it for the 2i2, but that's not going to happen. br>2 - It's all or nothing when it comes to 48V phantom power. I'd like them to be self-sufficient.

It's good, but I'm still disappointed that there isn't an equalizer
5/5

It's a good interface for people on a tight budget. There are a few things I'd like it to have, such as built-in EQ. However, you get mostly what you pay for for the price (I'm still irritated by the "no EQ" section, but it won't affect my score). If you're looking for an audio interface but don't know much about EQ or how to operate a large mixer-style interface, this is the one for you. And if you don't care about EQ or are a twitch streamer, it's ideal (at the price you're paying, of course). By a wide margin, the GoXLR is superior. ) One issue I have with it is that it has a built-in DAC, which is a problem for us. When I put on my headphones, it sometimes sounds like it's been down sampled. The only way to fix it is to reset the sample rate in either the settings or Focus rite Control on a regular basis (by resetting, I mean changing the sample rate and then changing it back). When it isn't down sampled, however, the sound quality is excellent. And, despite the lack of an EQ, the mic quality is excellent. I use it because I can't afford a GoXLR or any other mid-range interface, and I didn't know the Xenyx Q1202 USB by Behringer existed when I bought it. If you're not sure how to use a style like the Q1202, however, this is ideal.

I've been looking for something like this for a long time
5/5

I've been looking into a microphone interface for a while now. I was switching back and forth between mixers and user interfaces. I don't have much room on my desk, and the small mixers didn't have enough phantom power or gain for the mic. I finally decided to buy this Scarlett Solo, and it's ideal for what I'm doing. It's an Amazon "refurbished" item, but it appears to be brand new, with the protective film still on the front. I am extremely happy.

Excellent craftsmanship
5/5

The software takes a little getting used to, but even I, a non-technical person, was able to figure it out. Over my Mac 2011 21, I appreciate the stability and high performance. Very happy customer recommended it to a fellow musical partner who bought one as well! 5 in i5 core in logic pro and other daws even works great for rehearsal in my studio over my 8 in near field monitors!.

The best microphone interface for the money, hands down
5/5

Signal handling is excellent, installation and setup is simple, and the construction quality and reliability are nearly bulletproof. One for each of my recording stations, I have two of them. I've recommended this unit to several others who want to get into voiceovers or who want to improve their home office setups.

This is a great price for such a high-quality product that is also simple to use
5/5

Love this product and the price was great after shopping, and you get more than what you pay for once you order. You'll be blown away by the extras like Logic Pro or other programs you get a license to use, as well as the training that comes with it! For the price, it's a must-have, especially if you're just getting started with a studio or marketing firm.
