Yes. All scarlett gen2 and gen3 interfaces come with Pro Tools and the Focusrite Creative Pack, according to the focusrite website. I'm buying this product partly because of Pro Tools and the other software that comes with it (which you can download after you register).
Selected User Reviews For Focusrite 18i8 3rd Gen 18x8 USB Audio Interface Scarlett usb with 2 XLR Cables and 2 1/4-Inch TRS Cables Bundle (5 Items)
In the early 2000s, I used a Tascam 2 channel recorder. Things have changed a lot, and The Scarlett by Focusrite is now THE BEST product on the market. I have the 18i8 and it is fantastic. I can achieve in-studio sound quality from the comfort of my own home using Reaper and Loopback on my Mac. br>br>The controls are simple to use and do not feel cheap (as my Tascam did). The quality of the item is excellent. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED - 5 STARS ALL THE WAY AROUND.
This audio interface has made my life a lot easier. I upgraded from a second-generation 2i2, and this is an excellent replacement. To begin with, Focusrite provided an excellent online setup experience. They get you started with what you require in a fun, personalized, and efficient manner. The build quality is excellent, and I particularly like the front panel; the grey volume knob and glossy faceplate look great on my desk, and the lights that indicate which functions you're using are a nice touch. br>br>Now for the music. It appears to be fantastic. The water is crystal clear and clean. You get out exactly what you put in. My analog synth, guitar, bass, and vocal are all connected and sound fantastic. br>br>The included mixer software is simple and functional. The volume of everything plugged into it, as well as the output of the independent headphone jacks, can be controlled. This was a pleasant surprise for me. br>br>Overall, whether you're making music or podcasts, this is an excellent audio interface for the home studio.
In general, it's a fantastic Audio Interface. The sound quality is exceptional for the price, and the included cables reduce the Interface's cost to around $300 to $400, making it an excellent value.
But. br>It lacks some basic stability and safety mechanisms as a USB computer device. If the electricity went out for any reason, Someone snatched the power cord, or you simply forgot to turn it off after use- The entire computer turns into a terrifying blue-tinted nightmare. rather than another USB device, such as a printer, causing a screen crash. The only way to avoid this is to unplug the USB cable while it is still powered up. br>Aside from that, there isn't much to complain about for such a good AI with so many inputs and at this price point.
It was delivered quickly. The leads were in good condition. It's not too big. It's simple to set up and use, and it does exactly what it says on the tin.
It's a beautiful piece with a great sound. The user interface is not very intuitive. The sound of the guitar is enhanced significantly by the presence of air.
It is very simple to set up. The sound quality is excellent.
