My experience with these wireless microphone transmitters has not been specifically with your idea, but the batteries supplied are normal (alkaline) AA-type batteries There are two batteries of the same size, each generating one watt. The batteries were 5 volts when they were The above method has been successful for me. Rechargeable batteries can be used in other devices instead of standard 1. Volt batteries. There are no throwaways for the volts. Transmission of power through the transmitters is not possible due to the absence of an external connection As you'll have to remove and replace the batteries every time you recharge with an external charger, you'll need to remove and replace the batteries each time. I was able to setup and use this system with no problem. The pairing process is pretty straightforward when it comes to changing frequencies. My favorite aspect of this unit is the controls and adjustments on the main unit, and I enjoy the option of XLR outputs or a joint mono output. The range from the belt pack to receiver is impressive as well, and was one of the reasons I chose it over our old unit. It is unfortunate that the audio has a noticeable "wavy sound". The first time that these became apparent to me was when a steady tone of inhalation or exhalation could be heard. Due to the waviness of the sound, I was concerned that the person was suffering from an upper respiratory infection (or COVID). As I tested the belt packs myself, it became clear that the waviness was not coming from the speaker but rather was coming from the unit itself. Testing multiple belt packs, multiple microphones, different frequencies and powering down potential devices that could cause interference with each other. It would appear that the receiver is the cause of the problem. In the case of an incompetent Phenyx support team, returning the unit if one is not found. Very disappointed in the quality of the audio. I updated the 6/7/2016 report to reflect the 6/8/2021 update We've been trying to reach the support contacts listed on the packaging for more than a week now, but we have not received a response (not even an automated response). Although I ordered an additional Wireless Microphone in addition to the 4 belt packs that came with my system, I did not receive one. I THINK THIS WIRELESS HANDHELD MICROPHONE WORKS GREAT! Unlike a 4th belt pack, the additional microphone paired seamlessly with one channel (in place of a 4th belt pack
), and the wavy, slightly garbled sound at certain frequencies was not present. Based on this, I believe that the wireless belt pack transmitter or the lapel microphone itself is causing the problem. To no avail, I have also tried different foam ends for the lapel mic, and I have even tried recording with no foam covering it at all. In the midst of running out of time to return the product, I requested an Amazon replacement, which was promptly delivered. Having tested the first belt pack, I noticed the same problem as I had with The following updates were made in 5/10/2021 As the number of interactions has increased, Phenyx Support has been more helpful to me. With a Samson Mini XLR microphone, I've tested the belt pack with the Phenyx belt pack and the wavy sound seemingly disappeared. The belt pack microphones are causing me problems (at least for myself). I am still in contact with support to correct the issue. We will post updates as soon as we receive more information. There are no differences between the lapel microphones that were sold when I bought the system and those that are available now.
am a member of a cover band in St. Louis. The purpose of our purchase was to buy a compact wireless microphone system to put in our road racks, which would allow our IEM systems to be taken to clubs with house sound and expand our ability to use our vocals wirelessly at venues. It is a public-private partnership We were looking for a price point around the 7000B. As for the 7000B option, it came with 4 wireless headset microphones and a lav mic. We do quite a bit of video production around here, so I thought this would be a handy addition. I also bought four handheld microphones that could be used My curiosity was piqued when I saw the headset mic option. As for the "boy band" look, I was a bit worried about it, but I am thrilled with being able to use the headset without being chained to the mic stand. For the record, both myself (guitarist) and our bassist have worn the headsets. Our wired microphones were inadequate over wireless mics, so we were concerned about sacrificing sound quality. In the past, we all used wired Shure Beta 58s to record voice. Due to our status as a casual bar band, we would be able to sacrifice some sound quality for a more interactive show. We adjusted the EQ on the headset mic and the handheld mic, but there was no noticeable difference after we did so. A surprising amount of sound is captured by these mics. There is also a great selection in the range. We are extremely satisfied with our purchase.
We are extremely satisfied with our purchase. In the couple months that we have tested this product, we have found no problems. We even went back to Phenyx to buy new IEM systems when our frequency band changed. Thanks Phenyx for a fun, affordable, reliable product! A video post is in the works (I hope to have it up soon).
The Phenyx Pro microphones are hard to beat, even for systems half my price. I need a sound and equipment system that will provide me quality, clear and reliable sound so that one of the most important days of my client's life does not end up being a nightmare due to interference or poor sound quality. Having used many renowned microphones in the past, including Shure, Sennheiser, and others, I can say with certainty that the Phenyx Pro systems compete with these more popular brands. When I first acquired the PTU-B I was a bit hesitant to purchase it We have a 5000 system which works perfectly. The audio quality of the sound and the feel of the product are both excellent. We like the metal body handheld microphones because they feel sturdy, so you can give them to someone who has maybe had a bit too much to drink without In spite of the adjustable frequency, I did need to adjust it on account of the large number of events that were outdoors in our ever growing electronic sphere. It is the PTU's responsibility to maintain As with the 5000, the 7000 system also works well, but I realize that if interference occurs on one microphone, I can quickly switch to another channel, use the IR feature to program the microphone and in under a minute, I'll have interference free microphones back in action. Two hand-held mics will be substituted for two of the body packs as part of a Phenyx Pro Direct purchase. availability of parts and the ability to mix and match them is something that not many manufacturers provide. The build quality and reviews make me comfortable I shouldn't have any issues with either set over the long term. I haven't owned either set long enough to comment on long term quality, but I feel assured I won't.
