handed. For the past five years, he has been playing lefty, and we have never regretted it (in some ways, it may have even been easier, because all of his instructors are righties, and he can watch them face-to-face). Face them and follow in their footsteps. )br>br>The only drawback is that it is only available in English. on the plus side, there are a lot fewer of them left- There are a variety of hand-held instruments available. Because not every guitar manufacturer makes a lefty version of every model, the overall selection is limited, and the few available models are rarely stocked in stores. Every time our son needed a guitar, we did all the research we could and chose a mid-priced model. (read: priced) a few hundred dollars) option from a reputable manufacturer, which I ordered on the spot br>br>This year, our son needed a lefty acoustic to carry back and forth to school, and while he has an Ibanez AEG that would have sufficed, we weren't thrilled with the idea of him lugging it around on the bus, in the hallways, leaving it in the music room, etc. , We searched for a budget-friendly option from Guitar Center or Sam Ash and received a quality instrument, which has then been treated with care and respect left-wing ally Because lefty guitars are more of a niche item, it's been nearly impossible to find one — those $50 acoustic guitars you see piled up on display in music stores during the holidays don't seem to exist for lefties. So when we saw this Ashthorpe acoustic/electric guitar on Amazon, we decided to order it and hope for the best, and we were not disappointed. br>br>To be honest, for the price we paid, we were expecting a lot more. I was expecting some significant flaws in sound and/or construction, but this guitar has neither: The construction quality is excellent, the neck is straight and true, and the fret wires do not protrude or cut. The sound is fantastic both plugged in and out, with a bright, treble-heavy sound. When played acoustically, it has a leaning voice (possibly due to the fact that the body is shallower and wider than others,) and it lacks an on-stage presence. It has a 4-way board tuner. When amplified, a band EQ can be tweaked to produce a wide range of tones. The cosmetics are primarily responsible for the guitar's low price: On the neck, the wrap and inlays are genuine, but they are fake on the rest of the body. To achieve the effects, either paint or decals were used on the body. In some spots, the staining/airbrushing on the "Sunburst" pattern is uneven, and the glue at the joints could have been wiped cleaner. However, for our purposes, these are minor flaws that are far outweighed by the overall value for what is an incredibly low price (don't forget, this also includes a decent gig). I'm still giving it 5 stars because of the bag, strap, picks, and other details. As a second/back-up instrument, I would highly recommend it to any left-handed guitarist starting out. a new instrument or as a gift for someone who is musically inclined If you have a left-handed person in your life, you should:.
The price appealed to me because I am left-handed. It looks great hung on the wall. The pickup had given up the ghost. They sent me one that was dusty and had been pulled from another guitar, with a different type of pickup rubber coated flat bar that was missing some of the rubber that had stayed glued to whatever it had come out of. The cost of the picup is less than ten dollars. I'll use lighter stings because the sound is coming from your fingers and it's a bit thinner. They were quick to respond. as well as sending a piece. That's all I've got for now; I'll save it for acoustic.
I like the way the guitar looks, and it's nice and light. The only issue is that the actions are a little high, which I'll have to get used to. It's been about a month since I got it, and I'm starting to feel better about it.
Excellent customer service, and the prices are reasonable. The guitar was in good condition when it arrived, but the box had a hole in it. br>Once I had unwrapped the guitar parts. I noticed the "tuner" that had been promised was missing. br>As a beginner guitarist, I could certainly benefit from it.
Great guitar with a lovely sound, and at a reasonable price. I strongly suggest it.
If you know someone who would enjoy learning to play the acoustic guitar, this is a good deal.
Excellent price-to-quality ratio! I wanted a thinline because when I'm learning on a standard guitar, I keep stretching forward to see where my fingers are placed. I also appreciate the fact that I was able to obtain a left-handed pair of shoes. Where there is normally a limited selection of colors, there is now a left-handed option on all of them:.
It was strung correctly for a right-handed guitar. Apart from that, excellent work.
