Questions & Answers

In inches, how big is your body? My rogue rd80 (dread) is 16" wide, which I despise. Is there anything smaller than 14"?

42 is the age of this guitar. 2 x 5 x 19 = 2 x 5 x 19 = 2 x 5 7 inches. It certainly does not appear to be a child's guitar. It's very comfortable for me, even though I'm quite small. It should not be trusted if the specifications are not available on the Amazon page where it is sold. When the 400 was released, I purchased it, and when the 500 was no longer available, I purchased the 600. If size matters, I'd go to a guitar or music store and try one on.

Instead of being a circle, the sound hole appears to be oval. Is the sound hole oval in shape or is it round?

The oval shape of the Sound Hole

What is the width and how thick is it? Is this "real" wood or particle board, and what is the difference between the two?

My cell phone's width is the same. Of course, the wood is sturdy. It may be laminated on the top, sides, and back, but it is not "particle board." Remember that the price is reasonable, and the materials are as well. But Yamaha has a great sounding and playing guitar here for a great price, and it's the best I've ever played in my 40 years of playing. no.. For the money, it's a fantastic guitar. Yes, absolutely!

What a fantastic option! I'd cracked my guitar neck in December and had it repaired, but when I got a request to play this Sunday, I discovered it was buzzing
5/5

On a very tight budget, I looked for a new one right away in local stores, where the options ranged from $400 (not the best quality) to $1,000! br>br>As a result, I went online! After hours of searching, I discovered this recently released model by Yamaha, a reputable brand, for half the price of a store-bought model, with features that seemed to meet my very specific requirements! The body was thinner, the frets were closer, and the strings were steel, with an electronic tuner. amping. It sounded like a match made in heaven to me, being petite with 65-year-old shoulders! br>br>I then checked to see if Amazon, my very proactive online merchandiser, had it in stock, which they did, and I paid an extra fee to ensure two-day delivery! br>br>Excited, but not without reservations, I waited 48 hours for my package and received it in 42! It looked fantastic, but I couldn't get it to work properly. br>br>I called my guitar player, who was ecstatic to be able to see and handle this new release. He said it was way too low tuned, and within three minutes, he had it tuned and making beautiful music in his capable hands! He and another musician in the shop both raved about my new purchase, so word is spreading! And my husband (who is a band director) asked around today and was ecstatic to hear such positive feedback from parents and coworkers!br>br>So I came home and played for 90 minutes with and without my amp. It's everything the reviews said it would be, and I love how small it is and how great the sound is! I've struggled with their sizes throughout my entire playing career (1st Yamaha purchased in 1978 after a no-name in high school)! And I was only able to play a few bar chords! I finally mastered some bar chords on my previous guitar, which was smaller. Now I'm hoping for a limitless reach! br>br>I recommend reading the professional online reviews as well as the detailed specifications to ensure that this guitar meets your specific requirements! Its size in relation to yours should undoubtedly be taken into account!.

I'm a bass player who wanted to play around with an acoustic guitar, and this was quite good for the price
5/5

It had to cost less than $300. This one got good reviews, so I bought one without seeing it first. br>br>It's hard to believe you can get a guitar of this quality and tone for this price, so I have to give it 5 stars with one caveat. br>br>What I like:br>br>Well constructed and sturdy. I especially like the plastic edging around the body, which prevents dents. br>br>Body with a narrow width. I didn't want a big clunker for when I'm lounging in front of the TV watching movies. br>br>Excellent acoustic and plugged-in sound. It has a lot of light and is very full. The sound of steel strings is excellent. br>br>In addition, the electric features are excellent. When plugged in, you can adjust the tone to low, mid, or high. A volume control is included as well. The built-in tuner is fantastic. br>br> It's worth noting that it runs on AA batteries, which are stored in a small pop-out compartment in the body. The tuner makes it possible to precisely center the intonation. It's simple to stay in tune all of the time. I'm not sure if you need batteries to play amplified e. whether or not it's an active electric br>br>It has a cool finish. I like the inlay around the sound hole, which is a greenish-blue sunburst. Machine heads that appear to be of high quality. br>br> We'll see how they stand up to the test - 100% not sure yet, but I'll assume the best

Problem: br>br>The action was far too high right out of the box. To fix this, I switched to a "light" set of strings (. (High E 11). This was beneficial, but it was insufficient. As a result, I experimented with truss rod adjustments. This helped a little, but the action was still a little too intense for me. So I carefully removed the strings, as well as the plastic bridge piece at the bottom, which I removed and shaved - Approximately a sixteenth of an inch Then, with the new lower string setting, I worked on getting the truss rod in a good position. I was also planning on shaving the nut, which is also easily removed. This step was not required, as it turned out. Shaving the bridge and adjusting the truss were all it took to get it to a playable level of action - Strings are placed above the frets. So, it was a lot of work, and I had to be very careful, but it paid off. It now has a fantastic action, similar to that of a well-set-up electric guitar. br>br>If your action is too high, you might want to hire a professional to do it for you. If you do it yourself, keep in mind that you must exercise extreme caution. You can always sand away more of the little plastic bridge piece, but you can't put it back on. As a result, you may need to keep putting the strings back on and off until you get it right. br>br>At this time, I'm quite pleased with this guitar. My only other observation is that the neck is extremely narrow, at least in my opinion. I'm used to bass necks that are much wider, or strings that are typically set further apart. I do have to get my fingers bunched up in a pretty tight configuration, as when playing a low A major chord, for example, but that's probably just me. However, don't expect a wide neck like you'd find on a standard nylon-string classical guitar. This neck is narrower than a telecaster's, perhaps even a little more so. br>br>Again, for the money, it's a fantastic option, and I strongly suggest it with the caveat noted.

It's a good buy, but the action needs to be tweaked - I've made the necessary adjustments, and everything is now fine
5/5

I just got mine in black, and it appears to be well worth the money, though I agree with Thomas who said the action is too high. I'm curious how much of a truss rod turn Thomas had to make, given that they're likely all fairly standard out of the factory. If you're reading this, Thomas, I'd appreciate it if you could respond. I've never adjusted a truss rod before, and I don't want to make a mistake. I'm also curious if the saddle was adjusted. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> With just a few turns of the Truss rod, the action is incredible. I had no qualms about turning the truss rod because it was so simple. The number of starts has been increased from four to five.

4/5

This guitar is of exceptional quality. I wanted a low-cost guitar to have around while watching TV after 42 years of playing. This guitar is perfect for the job; it's not a full-size guitar, but it's a good size for the job. This isn't a toy, so don't expect to play with it. Oh no, the sound is big and robust, and the playability is excellent. There were no flaws on the product when it was delivered. I switched to a lighter gauge of strings. Its playability is comparable to that of a full-fledged electric guitar. Yes, there is a pickup under the bridge, as well as a built-in tuner that is both convenient and effective. This guitar comes highly recommended by me.

As expected, it's stunning! My Yamaha was not my first
5/5

There were two APX500III on the table. br>The 6 month old was sold solely for the color white. And it's Awesome. I got a quick look at it, and the sound is on par with the 500iii. br>The package was in excellent condition when it arrived. I couldn't be happier!.
