I believe this is the best cajon pedal beatter I've ever seen and heard; I saw it at a Guitar Center and was very impressed with the timbre it produces. Because the sizes differ from one product to the next, I believe the production is handcrafted. Nonetheless, the audio result is quite pleasing. I'd like to go over everything again. Make use of it, and tell others about it.
For the cajon, this is a great beater. Unlike other cajon beaters, this one keeps its shape. The sound quality is excellent. ***UPDATE: It appears that the size of the beater has been changed by LP. It's now at least 1/3 the size of the one shown, and it's more like a felt beater in shape. It had a killer, big sound before the change, so I was disappointed with the size change.
This is fantastic! A felt beater (which is more of a slap/whack) produces a much fuller THUD on the cajon. It's more consistent, has more volume, and it's nice if your mount gets a little skewed or off center because it still works! It's fantastic, and I can't recommend it highly enough. I'd like to hear how one covered in leather sounds.
This is the ideal cajon beater for me because of its softness, shape, and size, as well as the softness of the cover. The booms are nice and soft. This is exactly what I'm looking for. Control is excellent.
When used with a cajon's foot pedal, it produces a nice solid and thick "thud. ".
