Questions & Answers

In terms of whether the pickups are active or passive, I've received mixed answers. I would like to know which one As well as the switch to change from active, is there a way to turn it off?

A total of 6 Yamaha bass models are offered in this listing. Those in the 100 and 200 series have passive pickups. Those in the 300 series have active pickups and they come with five-way switches EQ switch with a two-way There are two types of switches available in the 500 series active and passive.

Can this be used in what kind of case?

These cases are most often sized for a long-term use Basses of that scale should work, I would imagine. A total length of 43 inches is the measurement of the body, which is 13 inches wide by 20 inches to the top of the horn. The distance from the top to the bottom of the strap button on the headstock is five inches. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Is this bass supplied with strings of a particular gauge?

It is estimated that they are 45 to 50 years old My sincere appreciation goes out to

What is the best place to shop for upgrade parts for the 2012 Yamaha TRX605-5? Does string mean?

I think that's an extremely broad question to ask. In terms of bridge, I prefer Graph Tech, while for a wide range of parts, I prefer I like Duncan's pickups, pots - I have taste in that, but not necessarily his pots - It depends on what you are doing when you hear the mojo tone

Having waited for it was worth it
5/5

My favorite article about this bass was the one that I kept reading. I'm a novice player, with 4 basses (Fender, Ibanez, Schecter) currently. A couple of days ago, I received something on my wishlist that I had been anticipating for a while. This comes in two colors with a tiger maple look beneath the gloss - black and white It's beautiful, and I see it that way. I find that the bass is heavier than my others and has a little neck drop, but the controls are all quite sensitive, and I can adjust how I want the sound or tone to be. I am switching the round wound string with tape wound from the piece that arrived with round wound strings. It is still a smooth action As a result of the round wounds, the bass is throaty. I am still not sure what the purpose of the active/passive switch is, but I am liking the passive sound a bit more at this early stage, as it has a more passive tone, not so aggressive. My action was adjusted so I would have a clean, throaty sound by moving the action closer to the fretboard. There is enough space between the pickups that the controls are able to adjust between them easily That is to say, toward the neck or the end of the action, more or less. I have found them to be more sensitive than either of my front teeth. In this EQ, you can choose to have the controls set in the middle/neutral or cut or boost each section from the bass to the In addition, there is a pickup balance control, which is nice for obvious reasons. Despite the large volume range of the master volume control, I had to spend a lot of time tweaking my sound system's amplifier (Behringer BXL 3000) to remove an echo effect. The bass is just amazing. I chose a gloss black body, with the faint tiger maple striping (very faint, but noticeable). The back of the neck has a lighter maple and the body is stunning in gloss black. This bass has been a joy to play and I recommend it highly. Similar basses I have tried at my local guitar store cost many hundreds of dollars more, and they didn't have the look or sound of this bass. It is a good purchase.

It is unknown whether Yamaha's bass guitars made in Indonesia will have the same quality as its other guitars
3/5

The guitar looks really cool, but it appears to have a quality control problem, which is common with Yamaha guitars made in Indonesia. There was an issue with a local radio station picking up and playing on my amplifier through the active circuit in the Yamaha TBRX504 I received. Passive mode allows radio signals to pass through but not receive them. With the passive mode, the guitar can be played without the need for a battery. I suddenly noticed that the E string is substantially louder than the other three strings after playing it for a few weeks. A good app that I used to measure the loudness difference I found on the Android Market is the Sound Meter It is not possible to adjust the pickup poles. The height of the E string didn't seem to make a difference when I raised it. There are only so many times the string can be raised until it is Initially, the uneven volume problem was fixed when I changed the strings, but then it went back to normal after about 10 days A week and a half later, it was back again. There seems to be about 10db difference between the other strings and the E string after it breaks in and becomes looser and vibrations more. A factory will not be able to catch the problem since the E string has to break in before it becomes apparent that it is unevenly loud. Since the E string issue coupled with the active circuit that cannot be used in an environment with strong radio signals led me to ask Amazon for an equal exchange, I returned it to Amazon. Upon receiving the replacement TRBX504, I was glad to observe that the active circuit has not picked up any local radio stations. However, the TRBX504 active circuit had significantly less gain compared to the first TRBX504 active circuit. Even though it seems like the volume of the E string is the same as that of the other 3 strings, I knew that a final conclusion would have to be reached once the string breaks in. It was in that order that I adjusted the intonation of the G, D, and A strings. Whenever I tried to intonate the E string, it was 10 cents off at the 12th fret, and I was unable to move the saddle closer to the nut since the saddle adjustment screw had run Due to the saddle adjustment, the E string was about 20 cents flat at the 12th fret when I started it. During a telephone conversation with a local guitar repair shop, they suggested that the factory may have installed the bridge incorrectly, but without seeing the guitar in person, they could not make a definitive diagnosis. In addition to this, I have noticed that the E string is starting to sound louder than the other 3 strings, maybe about 3 db. The string broke into the wall and I decided to immediately return this returned TRBX504 for a refund, not waiting any longer for the new string to break in. I am thankful to The Yamaha pianos and guitars made in Japan are probably of the same quality as their Japanese-made counterparts. The bass guitars made in Indonesia, but made by Yamaha, are a question mark on the quality control front.

I play bass guitar very well

I must say that this bass is excellent for its price! I like the way it looks and feels. As well as that, it sounds fantastic. The bass guitar is an excellent value for its price
4/5

The low price of this is excellent A bass guitar at an affordable price. Although the action was high, it was a bit complicated to set up. In spite of that, the quality of the instrument is excellent and the active controls allow you to shape your sound a lot. The player who is an expert may want more than this model, but the player who is a beginner through intermediate may prefer it. For many years to come, this will be a part of your life. It is my second Yamaha guitar and both of them are excellent in terms of I looked at many cheap guitars before purchasing this one, and I am glad I did.
