Questions & Answers

How does the return policy work?

It was damaged when I first got it. The package was returned with no questions asked, and I live in Hawaii where shipping is costly.

What is the string pitch? Is it B low or C high?

As far as I know, there are no factory 5s with C strings.

Is the maple fret board included with the blue?

Rosewood is used for the fretboard of Blue

Is there any way for me to find out what the correct string gauge is for replacing I appreciate it! ?

There is no requirement for the set to be 5 strings. Your preferences determine whether to go for a bigger or smaller instrument. Do you prefer the sound and feel of a larger instrument?

Stingrays are just as good as the "real" thing
5/5

Playing in a band every weekend has been my life for the last eight Some of the basses I've owned and I have even made my own are quite nice. It has been 20 years since I first picked up the bass. In order to be clear about what I am talking about, let me explain my context. A sub series bass could not believe how well it sounded when I sat down and played it in a local music shop by me recently. I bought the mint green version of the model from amazon since their display model was only available for display. Despite the fact that this bass costs over $1000 more, it sounds and feels just as good as my "real" stingray. Although the thought of it makes me sick, it is the nature of life.

Comment on A bass needs to be set up when you buy it. ANYTHING and everything. The bridge was set to how I like it and then the truss rod and intonation were adjusted and a new set of strings were put My favorite part of this bass is how fast and smooth it plays. It is a lie for anyone to believe that a bass will be delivered with a perfect setup built in. It had fret buzz when I got it because the climate in which it was shipped went from a warm climate to a cold climate. The thing about wood is that it provides warmth. In addition, if you are after that Music Man sound, be sure to check out this album. Excellent purchase. I am very happy with it.

The tone is excellent, the value is excellent, and the bass is excellent
5/5

This was just delivered to me two The first 60 seconds of our encounter were the best of my life. It was an excellent purchase. It is true that the tuning keys are not your standard $500+ bass guitar keys, but they look good, work fine, and are easy to replace if needed. As for me, I've got no problem It has been a long, long time since I played this much (I am now 67). This guitar has both Fender and Rickenbacker tone qualities in a single guitar. The presentation is very clear and articulate. Even though the neck of this bass is different from my Gibson SG Standard bass, I still find it a joy to play. Even with stock strings, the action is fast. If and when the strings lose their tone I plan on putting on a set of Fedora Ultralight Nickel round wounds, which I Highly recommend. Having played since 1965, I've been going on a long journey. I updated the list by adding Cream, Hendrix, Who, Mountain, and the Blues. I am still in love with you.

The strings need to be changed
5/5

In the package that I received it, it was in a box within In the second box, the lid of the box was ripped in half and it was all taped together. My first reaction was to jump out of the box because I was afraid of what it could look like. It almost felt like the neck was broken because it was bouncing around in there. I was surprised to find that it wasn't broken when I opened it. It was then taken off the packaging and played. There was nothing to do but set it up and take off. I think it is an amazing piece of The whole thing amazed me. Having a neck that is quick and comfortable is what I like. The $300 investment was well worth it.

Out of the box, the setup is poor
3/5

Bow and action I was very disappointed with the initial setup (or lack thereof) when I first opened the box. Even though it has a sticker on the pick guard indicating it was set up in California, this is not true. had to be virtually lowered all the way down at the bridge, and the neck had to be adjusted via the truss rod just to get the buzzing to stop in the first 3 frets. There were also a couple of high frets that caused buzzing around the 15th fret that required minor sanding. With all that said, the guitar itself is a solid build for its price, and its humbucker has an exceptionally good tone for this price point. But this is the worst condition a brand new guitar has ever been delivered to me. My assumption would have been that this guitar was faulty if I hadn't been so experienced with setting one up myself.

For the price I think this is a much better bass
5/5

I previously owned a real Stingray from the '70s and many basses during my playing career. Currently, I have three of them). I was quite pleased with how well the system was set up It only needed a couple of tiny tweaks to the intonation and pup (but no major adjustments). I am still using the original strings until I figure out what I am doing with them. It is only the string balance that is a complaint It's a little difficult with my set up to catch A and D. It looks like I need to order some 8x1mm neo magnets to stack on these pole pieces to see if that corrects the problem. As a matter of fact, it To conclude, if you are looking for a Stingray, but cannot or do not want to spend the money, this is a decent alternative.

The best bass you can get for the money! The bass guitar in this picture is used in worship at my church nearly every week
5/5

The usual Fender Jazz guitar is my favorite, but I've found that a 5-string is just the way to go My favorite type of string for this type of music is the viola, so I thought I'd try it out. Thank you for the recommendation! This guitar has a great tone and is simple to play. I'm happy with this simple EQ, my sound guy is too. My only complaint is that there is no way to fix the 9-volt connector instead of the "pull out" wire bundle with the snaps that are difficult for me to attach to and detach from I have yet not seen this as a deal-breaker by any means, as it is not often changed. I love the color, the feel, and the You're on your way!.

I love the bass
4/5

My first concern is the negative. I ordered two of the 4 string Ruby Red Burst Sting Rays. As soon as the first one arrived, the nine-volt connection was I'll include this one as well. It didn't feel right. I'm sure many of you who play guitar and bass can relate to that feel your hands get when the instrument feels just right. There was still work to do on the back of the bass. Black was all that was visible. I did not encounter any issues with the swap. A big thank you to Amazon! It's not important what it looks like, but I wanted it and ordered Here are a few good things I love the way my bass plays, it feels great and it sounds great too. The beast would have to be closer to $600 or $700 in value I was also very satisfied with how the bass was set up. The instrument didn't even need tuning before I took it out. Thank you, music man! It's great to hear your voice! I had to replace an observer due to the QA, which could use some improvement. There are a few other people who also got a bad bass at the start of the tournament. I know it's Amazon, but you know that. Basically just swap it out, if you had bought it in a music store, you would try three or four and choose the one that felt right anyway. you're looking for a bass that's high-quality but doesn't cost a fortune, this is the bass for you.
