This is a great value for anyone, from beginners to professionals
5/5

While I expected this bass to be a good starting point, it turned out to be much better than some higher quality (and far more expensive) guitars I have. I'm a guitarist, but I've wanted to play bass for quite some time, and Thanks to the coil split and the active pickups, this Jackson has a great range of tonal characteristics. From funk to death metal, and everything in between, you can get what you want. Although it is a little murky, it does have additional "openess" compared to something like a jazz bass, but it is still good enough to be used to practice with. As well as the higher frets (from about 15 and on), the sound is slightly muted compared to a fender bass (also due to the pickups), but most people won't play those high up too often. Besides the somewhat low quality of a couple of the knobs, the workmanship isn't perfect either. However, it is fantastic for the price. For me there were some long scratches on the binding of the fretboard, and a couple of the knobs were a bit The risk you take when buying an item online is substantial, but I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I love it it looks great, plays like a dream, and holds tune perfectly. It's a great practice place or "throw down" for anyone interested in the bass or a pro who wants to sharpen up The js3q would be ideal for anyone who wants to "play around with" bass.

There was no mention of this in the advertisement
3/5

The product advertised in the advertisement is different from the one delivered. Neither the colors nor the pattern are even close to the one pictured. It's a real bummer. To celebrate a special occasion, I finally purchased a bass that I had been holding off on buying. Sadly, my local stores do not carry Jackson products, so I didn't get to see them first. I will be going out right away.

The sound is amazing and the action is easy! Wow, this thing is amazing

With its perfect thickness, the neck of the guitar is easy to change frets. Did you hear what we said? Oh my God! I'm in love with The brilliant sound you receive when this fine instrument is paired with an Ampeg Bass Amp cannot be compared.

The Dual Humbucker Bass is an extremely versatile instrument
5/5

Earlier in the year, I purchased an Ibanez Mezzo bass and upgraded to this unit. I got this Jackson Spectra for $50 more than I paid for the Ibanez, so it wasn't much more expensive, Spectra prices seem to be the same ($350) wherever I look online. I don't think this bass guitar has any cons. This is also a product of Indonesia, just like the Mezzo. It has been good luck with Indonesian imports for me since I only buy Chinese products. Can it affect its resale value because it's an import? It's probably true. Previously, I owned an older Jackson electric guitar that I picked up on a pawn shop rack 25 years ago that was metal type Jackson. The price was high, but the game was enjoyable. Here are a few of the things that I would like to add the Spectra is an improvement in one respect, namely that the Master Volume knob also functions as a toggle switch for active and passive pickups. Mezzo does not have a toggle switch for pickup type. A feature of this bass model is the three knobs Bass, Mid, or Treble, all of which have switchable Boost and Cut. They are responsive, which is one of the things that make it versatile. In addition, the toggle switch for the coil split and the knob for the pickup select are both onboard. With the electronics, there is a lot of flexibility. It is a change for me to play a bass with humbuckers. As a rule, I play basses with both P and J pickups, but humbuckers are my favorite. A fuller sound is offered by them. I was extremely impressed with the finish work on this bass! The finish on this guitar was flawless and the frets were smooth. some things to look for in my experience. It could also have rough or sharp frets or a loose screw on the tuner, as well as a finish fault. A thin and playable neck is one of the best features of the Mezzo. In ads for the Spectra, a "speed neck" is portrayed as one of its features. As a result, this bass is wider in the The fretboard is made of laurel, but the fretboard itself looks slightly more like rosewood, maybe a little lighter in tone. I found that sliding notes is easier with this neck. Despite the fact that this neck is wider than the Mezzo's, I prefer it due to its To summarize this review, I would like to say the following The Jackson Spectra is an impressive guitar for this price and I am impressed with its workmanship and versatility. The gameplay is good and it looks good from a cosmetic standpoint. There are a few other color schemes available for the Spectra and they are all priced the same. The Spectra is affordable and a good deal more than one would expect for this price My understanding is that the "beginner model" costs $300 - $400 I can tell you this guitar is much better than anything in the $350 range!.

It is a great bass for a great price
5/5

This bass plays and sounds great, and is in good condition. Be aware that these are hand painted, so no two will be alike, and that's why one review gave it two stars. Those with more blue will be darker, and those with more tan will be lighter. The same bass appears on another online retailer's site, and you can see the variance in color between the different versions.
