it be better to use a precision bass or a jazz bass for bead tuning and ?

A jazz bass with a reverse headstock would probably be best for you since the B string will have a lot more travel, meaning it will sustain and vibrate better as well as being tighter. *br>If you tune low for the 2 pickup sound, jazz will help bring out your lows and low mids, which you will A Wikipedia entry for Tim Commerford describes the tuning of

The overall quality of the work is excellent, but there are Despite mixed reviews about the old MiM Fenders, I knew they'd taken a step forward with the Player Series and made it a great instrument, so I decided to pick one up
4/5

It played fine right out of the box, and I recommend it to any new guitar owner who wants a solid gigging guitar after a string change and a setup (which I always recommend). The electronics were subpar according to my expectations While the pickup is a bit below par so far, it sounds pretty good. It will be compared with my other basses to check if the electronics need to be upgraded. I think it is the hardware that needs to be upgraded. Fender's standard vintage bridge is used on this guitar. Once I removed it, I felt that the pieces were cheap and flimsy. It's hard to tell what effect that has on tone, but I prefer high-end audio A mass bridge crosses the vintage-era Rather than using a bridge of that style, I replaced mine with a high-quality Fender bridge For around $60 I purchased a mass on Amazon. It sounds much bigger and has more sustain, even if there is less of that woody sound you often hear since the bigger bridge is absorbing more vibrations and leaving much less for the wood to do. In my opinion, an upgraded bridge is probably best, if not now, then someday down the road, however, many players will be fine with the stock bridge at first. It is important to note that you may need to perform a setup if you switch the bridge. In case you don't know how to do it yourself, use this guide It only takes a little know-how and a couple of tools (e. g. , the bridge and guitar). As I said, it took me some time to be comfortable with anything other than small adjustments. This is actually my first full setup, and it is working well so far. In addition to the tuners feeling cheap, the speakers were in need of repair. have not encountered any issues with staying in tune, but that could be possible with cheaper tuners as well. Just take that with a grain of salt, since I have not experienced it. The tuners on an old bass that I'm no longer using have some nice Hipshots, and I want to switch them out. But this is a project I wasn't confident in tackling One of these days I'll hire a professional to finish it for me. As I played on the bass the upgraded bridge, I put flatwounds (D'Addario Chromes) on it. There's a very satisfying vintage tone to it, that P basses are known for, which can be used to play everything from Motown to folk rock to indie. You can drive upbeat songs with it's smooth, but it has enough power. Compared to jazz bass, this cannot articulate as well, but it can fill a room in a way that it cannot with other instruments. If the band is small and I need a lot of articulation, I end up reaching for my jazz bass. This P bass will be the instrument I'll be reaching for when performing with large bands or in sets where I simply need to fill out the bottom end. The bass is fully playable and giggable without upgrades, but those upgrades would turn this into a 5-star bass The star bass is a kind of fish. In the event that you are not 100% satisfied with the sound, you can easily switch out the after-discharge The sound of your guitar can be changed or upgraded by using market pickups (or by hiring a professional). one of the things I love about Fender I love how easy they are I actually bought mine used from Amazon Warehouse, and though the packaging had been pretty beat up, the bass was in pristine condition with no cosmetic flaws to speak of. All plastic wrap still in place including the pickguard. A good bass that won't break the bank if you're looking for a decent bass that won't break the bank is this great A reason the Fender Precision bass can be found in just about every studio in America is because it's the most popular bass for recording. Certainly, there are more flashier options, like the Stingray, that will stand out in certain scenarios, but the humble P bass for the most part will work fine in nearly every.

I am so in love with Take advantage of this great deal
5/5

have possessed 12 basses until now, which describes me as a mediocre bass player. I am blown away by how good this buttercream is. The quality of the This is number With such a thin neck, the neck offers a lot of freedom of movement. Beautiful workmanship went into the making of this bass. To appreciate this style of maple neck, both the front and back, you must see it It is based on the There is nothing powerful about bass pickups, but their output can pound out both the As well as the tuning, it is There is a noticeable difference between volume and tone pots and it is a tight/smart and smooth click. It was a bit tighter with nylon tapewound strings and I got a little more Motown sound The sound of "like" is similar. I find buttercream to be an incredibly beautiful body. In comparison to a Yamaha 500 or Schecter 500, two of the basses that I was comparing this one to, the bass is actually quite light. These turning keys are made of high-quality steel- As well as an open design, the system must also function tightly. An A-frame bridge can be found on the bridge There is a tight connection between it and the bass bridge. There is a lot of quality in it. A deep luster is evident from the finish on the body (buttercream), evidently applied over many coats to give it a beautiful finish. There is a lot of lacquering on the fretboard and it looks great. This combination of maple neck and buttercream body complements each other I am absolutely blown away by the beauty of this As I fretted the bass, my fingers glided effortlessly up and down the fretboard. Of this caliber, I'd expected a bass of this price to sell for a thousand, so this is an incredible deal.
I was blown away by how fast the bass arrived. As of now The following warning must be heeded As I described in my previous post, I was very lucky to have my bass in perfect shape when it arrived. In the cardboard box it was shipped in there was no padding inside for the bass (IE, bubblewrap, etc. ). If the gorillas at the distribution centers had tossed this around, the bass would likely have suffered damage to Aside from that, this bass is simply and totally incredible. It sounds incredible, is constructed of the highest quality materials, arrived quickly, and the quality is exceptional. My feelings on this split are very positive, and I must recommend it totally to you. The people at Cream City Music in Wisconsin deserve a huge round of applause and credit. It was a great bass you built, guys. Thank you all for taking the time to comment.

It is a great bass to have as a workhorse
5/5

In order to record and have more fun I thought it was time to get a bass with my 25 years of playing guitar. From the beginning, I knew it would be a There is just one basic tone in it I like the tone of this song! You will find it very easy to play, and you will enjoy the feel. I checked all the YouTube videos they are all accurate. The simplicity of this art is what gives it its power and beauty. I've now purchased three stringed instruments directly from Amazon, and each one has been a home run for me. The guitars here are of excellent quality, and I do not hesitate to order them. In spite of being tuned 1/2 step down out of the box, it was completely set up and tuned. Throughout my extended play of it, I did not experience any buzzing or instability of tuning. In the end, I did not bother changing the tuners for Grover style tuners. The factory tuners functioned so well I did not need to change them. The strings come from a roundwound brand, I'm not sure what brand they are You have a beautiful pop of color and are nicely bright. Despite the fact that I love my guitar, I would never give up my bass.

Problems related to quality
3/5

At the music store I played one and really liked We wanted to get a "new" one (not a floor model), but this one had a lot of quality issues. "E" string was "frayed" (all the winding was All the fretboard wood had a similar color, with the exception of the 12th fretboard On the 14th, there was a really dark splotch (cosmetic issue) on the wood (it just looked ugly). A prominent problem was that the saddle on the bridge of the "E" string would loosen while playing, which caused the string to fall to rest on the fretboard (friction). Additionally, every now and then there was a note that just sounded dead on the higher note frets (all other notes were loud and bright). It may have been better to just buy the floor model at the guitar shop.

Definitely a bass to die for
5/5

It's hard to say without spending some time with it that the bass is one amazing instrument. I don't know too much about basses but this one seems like the most desirable. I like the fact that These are also offered in left handed models by Fender, which is maybe one of the best features of this product.
