Questions & Answers

Inside the cello, there's a wooden dowel. I can't seem to get it out of my head. Is this the way it should be?

The sound post is a dowel that connects the top and back of the cello. It runs slightly behind and under the treble foot of the bridge and is held in place by the strings compressing the top. It must be in place for the instrument to function, and it must provide structural support beneath the treble foot. Take the instrument to a luthier, who will set the post and tune the instrument.

Is a tololoche the same as this?

This is not to be confused with tololoche, which is a cello.

I couldn't find a spot on the stand for the bow to sit or hang. Thank you very much! ?

The bow can't be hung from the stand because there isn't enough room.

Can I have a replacement bridge shipped to me? After my child's teacher tuned the instrument, the original snapped. ?

Ours was returned the same day it was received. It's all garbage!

It's a very good student cello, according to my music teacher
5/5

This item is deserving of your attention. In 1894, I bought a 3/4 "ladies" cello. However, it requires maintenance, so I upgraded to a full-fledged house. With this purchase, you will receive a cello of the appropriate size. It's a very good student cello, according to my music teacher. I haven't tried out the bow that comes with it because the bow I already own cost $250, which is comparable to the price of this cello. This cello has a rich, mournful tone to it. Feel free to ask me any specific questions; it's absolutely stunning and well worth the money.

THIS INSTRUMENT SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED
3/5

IT'S A WRONG USE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Purchase this instrument at your own risk. It's a complete waste of time. Despite the fact that there were three, I made the error of ordering one. 5 out of 5 stars. The very first instrument I received was untuneable. I tried it out on my own before taking it to a string instrument specialist. "Send it back," they said. "Oh, I got a lemon, no big deal," I reasoned. They resent it to me after I returned it. I was able to tune three of the four strings this time, but the A string would only tune to A2, not A3. It would jump up to B3 if I turned it 1/256th of a turn. br>br>It would be unethical to sell something like this. I've already squandered a lot of time trying to tune it, taking it to a music store, and making two trips to the UPS store. I'm disappointed that Amazon would sell a product like this that doesn't do what it's supposed to do. BUY THIS INSTRUMENT AT YOUR OWN RISK. IT'S A WRONG USE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

Cello for students of good quality
5/5

To begin, let me introduce myself. I'm a design engineer with a background in machining. I also play a variety of other instruments, including drums, guitar, and some piano/keyboard, and I service all of my own instruments, including all bridge and fret work on my electric and acoustic guitars. br>br>Let's move on to the cco- Cello (100). I wanted to learn how to play the cello but didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I looked for a cello that was of good quality and was reasonably priced. I understand that acoustic instruments' rich sound comes at a cost. br>(That is why I own a Martin acoustic guitar. ) ) The cello arrived in perfect condition and on time. It was well-protected within its soft case, which was housed within a box with ample cardboard padding. The bridge was not in place, and the sound post was bouncing around inside the body, as expected. (This is done so that the cello does not get damaged during shipping. ) ) While waiting for the cello to arrive, I did some research on how to set up a cello and found a few helpful videos on how to set up the bridge and sound post, so when it arrived, I got right to work. To retrieve the sound post and set it up according to the video instructions, I first built some tooling. It was a simple task for me to complete. The cello was then tuned after the bridge was set up. I spent about 2 hours on this. For about ten minutes, I rosined the new bow. When I first tried, I was able to make a sound! (This is a thrilling time! ) After a few days of playing, I realized the bridge could be re-built. Designed to improve bow angles while lowering string action. So I drew a line where I wanted to go low, removed the bridge, and re-installed it. sculpted the bridge's top. After re- The bow angles were improved and the action was improved after the bridge was installed. In addition, I replaced the strings with a D'adario Prelude string set. The sound, particularly the D and A strings, improved slightly as a result. These strings produce a warmer sound than the cello's stock strings. I'd like to go over the construction of this cello as well. All of the panels are made of laminated wood sheets (ply wood), rather than being hand carved from a solid block. This is what they mean when they say "crack proof top. " br>br>In conclusion, if you are someone like me, this cello is an excellent buy. br>br>Even though it is a plywood cello, it has a decent tone for the price. br>br>In conclusion, if you are someone like me, this cello is an excellent buy. I had to do some preliminary setup before I could begin playing, but that was half the fun for me! This cello would still be a good buy if you don't mind doing some DIY work and have access to a local music store that could set it up for you at a reasonable price. If you want a cello that you can take home and play right away, spending a little more money on a cello off the shelf at a local music store that is already set up might be a better option. br>br>Have fun celloing, and I hope this review was helpful.

Cello is a fantastic first-year student! I purchased this full-size cello for myself in order to learn how to play with my 8-year-old daughter, who has recently joined her school orchestra
3/5

I've never intended to join an orchestra or perform in a concert, but I've always wanted to learn to play the cello. This is a nice Cello that is easy to play and produces a pleasant loud sound. It doesn't have the same deep, rich tone as a higher-quality cello, but it's also not as expensive (it's a little tinny). This is a great cello to get started with if you're looking for something to play around with at home, or if your child says they want to play but you don't want to spend the money on buying or renting one. (My orchestra teacher says that if the student sticks with it for a year, they'll need a nicer one). This cello is one of my favorites. It's ideal for me to mess around with at home while occasionally joining my daughter in her orchestra lesson. I gave it three stars because it's a student model, and I wanted to make sure that while it's a fantastic first cello, anyone reading this understands that after a year or so of playing, it'll need to be replaced with a higher-quality model.

Because of its cinnamon (light orange-colored) tone, the instrument is breathtakingly beautiful
5/5

varnish (brown) We purchased the full-sized Cecilio CCO-100 after months of research and ignoring a number of negative reviews. Our granddaughter, who plans to continue playing in her junior high school orchestra next school year, received a 100 Student Cello. year. The cello arrived a few days ago, well-protected in a large cardboard box with a thick wall. We discovered the cello to be in excellent condition after unpacking and carefully inspecting it. Despite the fact that the strings were slack, the sound was miraculously preserved. The post was placed in its proper location. Because of its cinnamon (light orange-colored) tone, the instrument is breathtakingly beautiful. varnish (brown) We found the sound of the cello to be very pleasing after we placed the bridge and tuned it. The cello has kept its tuning fairly well since it was tuned a few days ago, with string stretch slightly flattening it over time. So far, no strings have broken, and hopefully no more will. If we had a complaint, it would be that the bridge was a little too high (1/16th of an inch), which we could adjust in the future if necessary. The bow, the stand, and the soft-serve ice cream are all included in the package. The quality of the bag is decent. br>In general, we are extremely pleased with this instrument.
